I know I can trust my pet store because they are independent (not petco etc) and they gave me a lot of these tips! They told me to get the best size tanks, wheels, etc. I’m so happy I have them to help me. I get my hamster tomorrow and I already have everything ready for her! They observe their hamsters and health check them to make sure they are healthy to go home

My mom is stubborn, I started watching your videos so I'm new, and I use your tips and stuff but I ask my mom for a bigger wheel because my wheel is way to small and I try to get the perfect bedding. I tried to ask my mom for a bigger cage, and more food and snacks, plus I need to buy bedding every week because I use so much because of how deep you said it needs to be, but she won't listen, not even a play area, if my mom can't help me I want to give him away for a better life, but I won't because at least I let him out to play around my room, (hamster free, no escape room.)

Hey, I know that I’m late but I used to use a water bottle for my hamster but I only used regular Velcro so it kept falling so then I went to the dollar store and got these plastic containers that I thought would work great for a hamster water dish but just recently my hamster has been biting on them and every time that I go to check on him his water dish has fallen because when he bites it it moves. I don’t know what to do, I’m thinking that I might just order tea light candle holders off of Amazon now and get the 50 pack because I don’t think that IKEA will open very soon and I want him to have water all night and stop wetting his bedding (with the water). Also, my hamster’s cage is too small but I recently made a presentation about why we should get him a bigger cage and I included one of your videos in there!! I think that my parents are actually considering it which makes me so happy!! Anyways, if you have any tips that would be so great. I hope that Lenny is doing okay, bye!!😊

U could try to put smashed berries on it or some other that on it. I like to get Willow balls and put treats in the middle and a little bordom breaker. It wears the teeth and keeps em happy!

What I do with my hammy ( he seems to like it if he’s in the mood ) is I put the chews in his food container over night then give it to him the next night, it helps for some hamsters a lot!

Another Hack: PetSmart prices are normally around 5-10 dollars cheaper than PetCo. I would normally shop online, buy if you need something really fast, fo to PetSmart, it will save your money!

Rats make wonderful pets too. They are very smart. If you do get rats make sure you get at least 2 as they are very social and may become depressed if kept single.

Please don’t get one until you’ve researched all about them. Guinea pigs need to be in pairs and can live up to 8-10 years old age. SkinnyPigs1 has some good videos all about Guinea pigs and is very helpful

my hamster chews on the bottom of his wheel and it's very loud and keeps me up. I'm going to try the peanut better hack to see if he'll enjoy the new chew toys better. Also, it's kinda a hack. Bunnies have similar toys and food to hamsters. So I bought some from Amazon (they weren't too expensive.) I bought this stick of food that was small enough for my hamster and he LOVED it. It's his food on a stick he can later chew on. Not to mention it was cheaper than $5, unlike most pet stores. I use them as a treat and it becomes an all you can eat.

I am upgrading to the Ikea Detolf very soon! My hamster has been miserable in his CritterTrail *cough* terrible*cough* cage and I finally convinced my parents to let me get it. They used the excuses “He’s small, so he doesn’t need that much room.” and “The store cages are made for hamsters, he’s fine.” and then he started biting the bars after a bit :( Also, why won’t he use the tubes I bought for him?

The peanut butter on chewtoys didn't work here - maybe our hamster is too clever, but he just licked it off instead of chewing. So I just kept buying new types of chewtoys until I found some he will chew on (found some! Toothbrush dog chews and dandelion sticks, he loves both now) :)

Are you aware of food grade diatomaceous earth? I put it on my 2 hamsters, dog, my daughter and I eat some of it and I mix some in with my dogs mushy food. I put it on my 2" IKEA mattress I sleep on and on my pillows, with the bedding over it. It helps with parasites and any little bug☆

I work at Petco and they will price match but only to their own website, not competitors. The online prices are usually cheaper though! Also keep in mind you can also return used items if you bought something your pet didn’t like or it didn’t work for any reason, even it you used it!
