I like a simple plain washing machine, no bells or whistles, same with a vehicle. Less features, less problems...

That's why I love my kei truck, so simple and easy to fix if I need to. The more complicated it is the more likely it's going to break

How is Electrolux washing mashine as compare to lg, miles and GE.. is it durable

We had Miele full sized 27" washer & dryer and they worked very well for us for 15 years but when we went to replace them we found that they are no longer available in that size, they now make the compact size only. In any case we ended up replacing them with Electrolux units which we've had for a couple of years now. We chose Electrolux as the washer & dryer doors are both reversable and the same size as our old Miele ones so they slotted right into the spots where the Miele units were. Contrary to most other brands Miele sets up their machines washer on the right, dryer on the left so having reversable doors on the Electrolux units was a big help, I found that very few brands have a reversable door on their washer. The Electrolux machines are decent enough and we have no complaints. So far so good and we are pleased with our choice.

@@ddavidson5We also, actually still here, a pair of the Miele full-size washer and dryer (48XX and 98XX series) and are proactively looking to replace them. When we reviewed the Electrolux washer, the very first thing that we noticed was the sagging door. My wife and I laughed out loud at the store and immediately said “Miele washer door!” If you owned the 48XX you know what I am talking about.

Why are they so expensive?

@@ladylyonteeth3952 If you are talking about Miele it's because it's sold as a premium product with virtually all the parts that go into it made in house with the goal of manufacturing a high quality long lived product. Miele's objective is that their appliances should last for 20 years of normal use but that's an objective not a guarantee. Their appliance marketing focus is basically "You get what you pay for". Bosch is similarly a premium product. That said, it's not like other manufacturers are necessarily making unreliable products it's just that they take a different approach. Whether you think Miele or Bosch are worth the extra cost is a decision you'll need to make for yourself. For us we were happy with our Miele machines that lasted a bit over 15 years without any problems and we are happy (so far) with the admittedly less expensive Electrolux machines we bought 2 years ago to replace them after Miele discontinued their large full size models.
