Since planks work your core, that means they work basically the whole body, from your pelvic girdle to your shoulder girdle as well as your legs. The plank strengthens your spine, your rhomboids and trapezius, and your abdominal muscles, which naturally result in a strong posture as they grow in strength.👍

These are great and I wish I could do them. Is there any way to modify a plank so there's no weight bearing to the left ball of foot? I have something called plantar plate and cannot put any weight more than walking on it. So planks and lunges are out. I tried to modify by placing the front of my left ankle on a foam roller and my right foot bearing the weight, but it didn't work very well. Any help would be appreciated.
