That was SO worth 9 minutes! I only knew the double tap thing to add a node (and that one I only knew because you'd talked about it before). All these 'under the hood' features really show what an amazing app AUM is! Thanks for sharing these!

Great! really useful tricks. A little 1.2: tapping a second time on any channel output meter brings back the master output level to the main meter.

Awesome video Jakob, gave me an idea for a video that may help a lot of people, myself included! Have you ever considered doing a video explaining DSP, buffer size, sample rate, latency settings including when/ why you would change them to suit your situation? For example, what settings would be ideal for older devices and which would be ideal for a brand new m1 pro ( which is what I’m really wondering)

Any way to save scenes within a session? I would like a way to recall different mixes within a session. I normally use keyStage 2 for this feature, bit would rather use AUM. Wish the devs could make that a feature.

Just picked up Agonizer, sounds great but can't get it to work in AUM as a stand alone or the auv3. Just does a short of infinite feedback type thing. Any tips? Ipad air 2 128gb and iphone 8plus 64gb 14.6.
@JakobHaq3 жыл бұрын
Ok that’s really weird. Just to make sure, have you tried restarting you iPad completely?
@_iostrakon29353 жыл бұрын
Check your buffer size. Make sure it’s not at 2048
@bastianm54783 жыл бұрын
@@_iostrakon2935 can buffer size be as low as Jakob puts it in this video? 128 only? Even with for example 8 input channels? Or is it just mostly the auv3 plug-ins that take up the buffer ?

Buffer size! Schoolboy error! Thanks for the help! Can't wait to get my wob on!

Am i missing something or is it not possible to sync to external midi clock? Is AUM always the Master? Thanks.
@JakobHaq3 жыл бұрын
Yes, AUM can only send MIDI sync. It cannot receive ... yet. A lot of us are hoping that it will get added though.

As an Ableton Live user I admire whoever can produce music with this thing called AUM. It's a quite mess. Jakob if you start working with Ableton Live you will headbutt the wall of regret for so long using AUM. I'll just go back to producing music on an Ipad when the IOS Logic Pro X appears, which is late in appearing. On the Ipad I just use the Korg Gadget to register ideas and export them to Ableton Live 😉
@JakobHaq3 жыл бұрын
I did try to work with Ableton live on the past and unfortunately it’s not for me. I’m more of a “Conventional Software DAW” type guy which is why I worked with Cubase for so many years. On iOS it’s Cubasis. I use AUM for experimenting and sometimes mixing.
@blue.sunset3 жыл бұрын
@@JakobHaq Conventional DAW?! You can work in Ableton Live in the same way as in Cubase. Ableton Live is the most flexible DAW around. The ease with which you can create Instrument Racks and Drum Racks with effects is incredible, as well as recording sections and organizing them before putting them in the final arrangement is incredible. Perhaps you've tried a very old version and haven't explored it properly.
@AndreVeloso3 жыл бұрын
AUM is perfect for live improvisation type workflow. Interface tailored especiality for touch controls. I also work with Ableton, but work with live improvisations with Ableton is not optimal without a MIDI controller. IN AUM is so fluid to add, remove and change effects order. For timeline based workflows, shure Ableton (or other timeline based DAW) fits better.
