Two things in this great video i have never heard despite hours of watching calisthenics 1. Don't go crazy with elbow position neutral is fine (i had always heard and stressed about it being bent in a supinated position) 2. Tuck to just unfold for tip 7 These were gold. I'm going to incorporate these and thanks for making things so approachable. I had heard about straddle being something very different than full planche so thanks for reassuring that too.

(05:30 - 14:55): Subsequent tips include practicing tuck planche and handstand push-ups, developing proper breathing patterns, and transitioning from tuck to straddle or full planche. Nathan emphasizes the importance of strength development through transitions and the significance of maintaining a good form to prevent injuries.

Great tips! I still can't planche but I'm still trying, going on 1 year since I started specific training for this skill, but I can't see what I'm doing wrong in the technique or if I just don't have the shoulder strength yet. I guess I just need more time.

I balked at the handstand part. I feel the handstand is more acrobatic than the front lever or planche. How can it be a mere part of the progression towards the planche?? Let alone handstand pushups😮😮

Why don’t you like the straddle planche? Is quite easier than the full
@philippschafer94193 ай бұрын
Yes, that's true, but the core activation is a little different because you spread your legs. So the full planche is a little different in terms of technique. So if you want the full planche you don't necessarily need a straddle planche, I think half lay would be great for training towards full, because specificity is key

@@nathanbosech Ok sorry and doesn't it help at the start though? Of course you can achieve a planche without basics but it would take longer for most people right? Correct me if I am wrong because this is what I hear from Ian Barseagle.

@@DonkeyTate if you are listening to this guy for statics then I can’t help you man have you ever seen him do a planche ?

@@nathanbosech Not just for statics but strength. He says your journey to learning skills will be much easier if you master basics first weighted dips and pull ups. So does mastering static skills effectively require mastering basics first? I have seen Ian do a planche a few times.

@@DonkeyTateif you can planche without doing basics would you still do them cause Ian told you are you would continue planching ?
