The best FL tutorial for beginners. Been doing the negatives with one leg extended, it works

It's a 100x easier to do a lever when you're 4ft tall.

Guys, remember when chalistenics used to be about strenght and not about unnecessary dangerous flipping? No hate bro, cool video and all, but calisthenics used to be something else not so long ago.

This is a tutorial about a specific skill… chill. You don’t want to learn it? Don’t watch it 🤣 Nothing wrong for those who want to learn these type of skills, so stop trying to put it down and focus on the type of calisthenics you wanna do 🙌🏼

@DanielFlefil Like I said, no hate to you bro. I personally met 3 people only in my chalistenics park in the last 5 years who got injured doing these 360 and swinging stunts. One of them was a pretty decent athlete until then, and bro had nothing but regret for trying this stuff out instead of sticking to the good old static stuff. The risk-reward of these acrobatics is insanely unbalanced. I used to train gymnastics and we used to invent moves like this one just to entertain ourselves. But we did it above a huge foampit and on a gymnastics bar. And even then we pulled a muscle or a finger sometimes. It blows my mind that people are now learning this stuff on a non-elastic bar and above hard ground.

@ongakutanuki It’s not for everyone, did it for 7 years and no injuries. I still did reps and statics. So it all depends on how you train and do it. I know people have ripped biceps, rotator cuff from statics and reps. So it goes both ways 🙌🏼

I balked at the handstand part. I feel the handstand is more acrobatic than the front lever or planche. How can it be a mere part of the progression towards the planche?? Let alone handstand pushups😮😮

Two things in this great video i have never heard despite hours of watching calisthenics 1. Don't go crazy with elbow position neutral is fine (i had always heard and stressed about it being bent in a supinated position) 2. Tuck to just unfold for tip 7 These were gold. I'm going to incorporate these and thanks for making things so approachable. I had heard about straddle being something very different than full planche so thanks for reassuring that too.

These are excellent tips. I can do tuck pull up on rings but working on front lever. I'll get there. Btw, I'm a 61 year old female. It took 2 years to get tuck pull up but now it's very easy. I lift weights 5 days a week but mix it up with calisthenics. It's so fun for me. Thank you for tips. I'll follow you for more. Want to do planche next goal.

@shabirvalli8604 thank you. Getting that final position of being horizontal is tough. Consistency is key plus, it's so exciting to challenge yourself. Lifting is fun but bodyweight is a whole world of new endorphins.

Im always bending my arms, I don’t know how to stop… also I think my kick up is weak or something. I’ve been working on this for some weeks now. It’s my big goal!! The good news is I just learned the forward roll and I’m really happy about it :)
