Being new to Subaru, I am really enjoying and learning about my new 2025 Outback Premium.

On my third Subaru. currently I'm still enjoying my Crosstrek 2.5 L which is the engine to get worth every penny, Fun to drive because is powerful, great visibility, dependable and reasonably economic on gas. Skimpy on cargo but ultimately sufficient base on its size. Very comfortable for driver, shotgun passenger and rear seat passengers. Last but not least is that is very safe loaded with safety features. I also like to get new wheels every two years. Good review Autmobile Anonymous! Keep them coming.

New Subaru owner. Loving our 2025 Outback Touring XT. Great car and features for a fair price. Keep it up with the informative videos!

Love my Subie. I totally agree about the value bit. Way more standard features than most manufacturers. I would say Subaru and Kia/Hyundai twins offer the best bang for the buck currently. K/H has questionable reliability though depending who you talk to so Subaru wins taking that into consideration. Also a better AWD system.

So many are overly critical of the screen. Yes, it's slow when starting up. And waiting for the engine to warm up is prime time to tinker with it when it's at its worst. But after everything is ready to go, it works great. I hardly have to use the touch screen other than to select Android Auto. After that, I use the steering wheel controls for most things... Volume, change stations, voice search... Easy.

Please explain how two or three steps to operate functions is safer than one step with a physical control. More eye off the road than before. I thought I’d be buying an outback but that screen changed my mind.

When I first began shopping for a new car I told myself it had to be a hybrid, for the great fuel economy. At least it seems that way, but when you crunch the numbers the hybrid - at its higher cost - isn't always such a great deal. Insurance for a hybrid may be higher, and there are fewer independent mechanics that work on hybrids. That means more repair work will have to be performed at a dealership that charges more. I've begun to consider the Subaru Forester. I like what I see and will take a test drive soon.

Well said! Unfortunately I also see a lot of what you mentioned being the reality that many people wouldn’t expect until finding themselves in those situations. Best of luck in what you decide to do. We really like our Forester.

Subaru is on my short list of brands to cross shop along with Mazda, Toyota, and Honda.

I’m not a fan of my 2024 Subaru Limited XT. Crash test results are good, but my anti crash only works about 70% of the time. The CVT is always trying to rev when it’s not required. It is very noisy on the highway. It has potential.
@jimbrown72614 күн бұрын
What are you comparing the noise to? I’m pleasantly surprised at how low the revs are on my ‘24 outback wilderness, unless I’m giving it a few beans. Just going from a stop light, hit resume and getting back up to 65mph at a good clip it doesn’t even go over 2500.

Well I was all in on waiting for a 2026 Outback. However I just saw on video on it and its going to essentially be a 2 row Accent. It looks boxey and large as a SantaFe and loses its unique station wagon look. Therefore may go to Honda now or get a 2025 Outback/Legacy

That’s basically what I’ve also heard. That it looks like a cross between the new Land Cruiser and a Telluride haha. 😅

These cars just require way too much scheduled expensive maintenance to keep running clean. Kind of the opposite of reliable, darn near a German car with the amount of highly suggested maintenance required to run good

We own a 2020 Forester and we love it. Our next car will be an EV, most likely a Tesla model y or a Chevy Equinox

A Subaru with a 10 year Subaru Gold factory warranty is probably still cheaper than most other cars today. I had 12 years on my last Subaru CVT with no problems. I expect my current 2024 to last just as long.
@AutomotiveAnonymous2084 күн бұрын
That’s the way to do it! Getting a good deal on their factory warranty and I also think you’re about as well off as with any other reliable car these days.

But those giant slow screens with everything built in. Ugh. I don't want a Tesla.
