Machinist is one of the most satisfying classes to play. Everything builds for you to hit bursts of high damage and the killer mobility means you never stop building back up to those massive hits.

My big boi is already a walking, nodding destructive force of nature all wrapped up in sturdy armor and tools of spectacular maiming (and with the most precious smile this side of Eorzea) as it is. Making him a Machinist, giving him a gun and a whole workshop's worth of doodads to play with really would just be overkill...eh, he's still young, let the children play I say Also, I definitely need to know what you use for glams. Being post ARR with only 1mil 370k gil to my name limits my options to be sure, but even stuff for the future would be great to know. My big boi deserves only the best things and I will work for those best things

Not a huge fan of Hypercharge as it is rn, since it’s just awful with less than stellar ping especially on controller, but big guns are still big guns. Something about shooting a dragon with a magic sci-fi gun is enough to ignore the flaws sometimes.

Machinist gets so fun after level 80. Wish classes could maintain the intensity at end game the same way they do at lower levels but idk how they could do that. I tried red mage and maintaining the black and white gauge is so tedious and boring. In pvp it's fun af tho. I don't think I can do the pve but maybe it gets better as you level up? Idk

As for my dear machinist people i just wish they revamped Flamthrower.. there is really no reason to use it on raids or even on dungeons when its better to spam its cone aoe… i wish it added some effects like old one where it made the heat gauge to increase or the battery one or both yeah looks really cool buts its damage is a bit lackluster so maybe it add some utility to it like for example make it debuff the enemies in some aspect

I personally tested a lot Flamethrower VS just spamming Shotgun, and looking at my parsing, it at leasts seems to me that Flamethrower has a higher DPS output. Just sat down before posting this looking for info. to make sure I wasn't talking out of my ass and yes I'm not far off the mark here. It just requires you to be properly positioned for the 10 second duration if you don't have the window to do so, or don't position well then yes it's trash.
