Make sure that you wired your GFCI breaker correctly. The neutral for your hot tub needs to be landed on the GFCI breaker not the neutral bar

My issues is a strange one. i have a Lay z spa Maldives which is 3 years old. and it's consistently tripping the house power. now here's the catch.. the hot tub turns up and the filter runs fine for hours. but as soon as I put on the heat element, it trips!

Tried to fix the same problem today, but with bad luck. Did you figure out what was the problem at the end? I'm a handyman, but I like also fixing things. Tried to see the breaker, it looks intact and no moisture was found inside or inside the circuit panel where the tub itself is. Also no wire damages of any kind were found, no loose cables. When I got to the heater I found signs of the heating bulb as being burned, though using a flashlight I didn't note the wires to be broken. Anyway I changed it, but it still didn't resolve the issue. Unfortunately the customer was standing right above me when I tried to figure out the thing and bragging about how he should call a specific hot tub specialist. When cables around and from the heater were diagnosed no damage or burns were found. So my only guess was to go ahead and remove the entire heating module and if no damages found, probably change it and see if it solves the thing. Unfortunately for me the customer didn't want me to continue the job as he was worried that I would break something down, but it's not a cosmic rocket that's hard to fix, at the end I would've found the problem, but it would've taken me some time

Is there a national certification program for hot tub installers - repair people? The problem is knowing if the spa guy is qualified. We've consulted with two about various aspects of our tub and they both were wrong.

My Hot Springs hot tub trip the breaker all the sudden. Have had this tub for over 10 years. I plugged into another outlet on a different breaker and it works but the pumps won’t stay on. Goes on then off then on then off. Curious why the tub will stay on when on another outlet though???

I have had a hot tub for 3 years and now the hot wire going into the house heated up and burnt. I got the breaker outside replaced and now six months later has happened again. Hot tub is not bad and electrician says I need another breaker?

What would cause the neutral terminal and the hot terminal to ohm out (28 ohms), new right out the box??????

We have a Four Seasons spa, came home from vacation and power was off. so I reset the breaker in the box, message says no COMM? Pumps will not come on, light will not turn on? what does no comm mean? thanks PD

Here is my recommendation....never buy a hot tub in the first place. They are nothing but constant problems and you will spend way more time fixing them then you do relaxing in them. In fact, they do nothing but cause stress.
