my cat is always sleeping on my chest when i wake up, and greets me with head bumps in the morning when i wake up. The base of her tail goes really fluffy and she nestles her head into my neck. She also likes to roll onto her side, or nestle up in my arms and looks up at me and rubs her nose on my cheecks constantly. She is beautiful.

I exchange slow-blinks w/ my cats (and the strays I take care of) so much that I've been conditioned to do it when I see a cat doing it on my screen. Charlie's favorite form of bunting on me is 'face mushies", where he just mushes the side of his face across my cheek.

One of my cats does most of those signs, and the other does only a few of them. One other thing I notice is that they show their love by spending time with me and falling asleep near me. Sometimes I turn around and see a sleeping baby on the couch and it makes my heart melt ❤

My cat is not a lap cat and does not like to be held but she sleeps with me at night and often joins me in a different room if I'm there for an extended period of time. She also asks to be pet on her own schedule. She's not cuddly but those are her ways of showing affection. Plus she sometimes starts purring and kneading when I talk to her. Just talk.

The funny thing with one of my cats is that with sitting in laps, she always wants to be on me or near me, and will curl up on my lap all the time, but she also doesn't like being touched much so if I'm not careful to keep my arms and hands at least a foot away from her (which is difficult to do when I'm at my desk) she will strike out and attack my hands and arms, absolutely offended that they were anywhere near her even if they were in the same position when she decided to get on my lap. She is very particular and gives mixed signals all the time like nudging my hand for pets and then attacking my hand after one or two head pets. She gives very little warning when she's had enough attention and wakes every day actively choosing violence, but does show so many ways that she loves me. Basically, she can use me as a pillow and jungle gym, but doesn't often want me touching her.

Other than that, both of my cats show all the signs. Except with the gentler cat, she prefers to settle down on my arm or right near me for cuddles instead of being on my lap. They both give me presents of various toys and will leave them on my bed for me. Each are sweethearts in their own ways.

I adopted a chimera cat when she was a 6 week old kitten. Her mommy only had 3 kittens and just one survived which is the kitty we adopted named Tessa. Nobody wanted her because she was so different but my wife and I did and we wanted to bring her home. She’s never been a touchy feely cat but she wants to always be around my wife and I which makes the times that she does seek out our touch extra special. When I take a nap in the afternoons she always comes upstairs with me and makes several hundred biscuits on my stomach. I’ve got scratch marks all over my stomach from her kneading me but I just lay there and endure it because I know it’s a way she shows her love and contentment. The look on her face is absolutely super sweet. Her eyes are half shut and she just purrs and kneads away.

Depends on how hard. If your cat is more play biting or nipping, that's the kind of activity they did as kittens with their litter mates. Hissing and biting...not good.

@g54b95 What does it mean if it starts with soft biting with paws and claws holding my arm. When I take my arm away, he glares at my hand and attacks for real. (When he's biting softly, my hand doesn't wrestle with him. I keep it limp and still).

0ne of our four cats does not like to cuddle at all, not even a little, but when we play, she is very very gentle with her paws and teeth. Also, she decorates our bed with toys which is very very cute! One other, a real British shorthair, love is his second name! I got him from a shelter when he was 7 and ever since then he overwhelms me with love. The other two I got when they were 2 weeks old. My last cat use to spend 5 plus minutes washing my face and bury her head into my neck. Each cat is totally different, my current cat only comes cuddles once a day for half an hour to an hour.... I see about 5 of these signs in each of my 3 cats. Never really seen the slow blink in any of these three, or any of the other three cats I owned previously though. I think the slow blink is just over-rated. Cats don't like being stared at, so they blink to defuse a stressful situation (staring = conflict). If you don't stare at them to start with, maybe they don't need to blink? I try slow blinking at them but not much success getting one back...Thanks for the video, you are so sweet 🙂

The young stray cat at my sister's that I took to get fixed, stayed with me while she healed. Started bumping my chin. Hard! She was only 7lbs but her little jump up to my chin was love and I knew it. My sister let her get pregnant 2x. None of her other kittens survived the male cat. I saved her little body when she got pregnant a 3rd time. Took care of her for 2 weeks bc she'd still been pregnant and needed 2 weeks of healing. Bumped my chin, made biscuits and purred. 🥰😻 My mother gets all of Elsa's love now and I couldn't be happier! Also, my cats don't really purr anymore. But one lays flat out on her back paws and feet just hanging. She feels safe and loved. Both of them do all the list but purr. I don't think they want to waste energy on that anymore. 😂😂😂

I have one cat who loves sitting on my lap no matter where I am, two will sit on my lap in certain circumstances, and one who prefers to sit next to me instead.
