I definitely need design inspiration. My factories end up being a bunch of machines on an open slab with a messy nest of cables connecting them. I need to make it more visually appealing. My wife is also afraid to start playing Satisfactory because she's hung up on the design aspect of the factories, and she's been watching me sink hours into failed attempts at designs.

Lovely video. I like the step by step approach, iterative design. Some variations of wall construction, depth, accent features, always nice to see. The accidental blueprint was ok, but how about bigger blueprints, like 3+ components... lower wall left, upper wall left, lower wall right, upper wall right, lower wall seam, upper wall seam, lower door seam, upper window seam, corners, etc. I've got like 40+ bps for this one fuel gen complex so far ... building is fast, except for running out of mats after a few seconds. ;-)

Love these videos but would never do that much work. Mostly do open air factories with minimal beams and walls for "structural support." I figure the machinery is designed to easily withstand a remote outdoors environment. The engineers on each of my playthroughs follow the axiom Form Follows Function. I am the only person on the entire planet so there is little need for aesthetics. Note: I do wish the game would incorporate an option for some kind of simplified physics based structural support mechanics.
@Xhaleon7 ай бұрын
Form follows function is the easiest way to start off an interesting build. You make box factories, but only small boxes rather than large all-encompassing ones. Then you connect the boxes together along with structural supports, and that will introduce natural depth by default.
