Davros is somehow manically evil, utterly beyond redemption and understandable at the same time. After listening to I Davros, I see how such a brilliant mind can be warped by its environment. Davros was born into a world that knew nothing but war, with his race on the thread line of extinction, into a society that praised ruthlessness, into the arms of a mother who actively encouraged him to pursue his interests without moral consideration. Davros could have been an amazing person, he was just dropped into such a harsh environment, he was warped from the very moment he left the womb. Davros, first and foremost, is strong. Unimaginably intelligent with an indomitable spirit. It just so happens he was born into an evil world. If he had a better life, maybe he could have been on the Doctors level?

I can think of three or four more for this list. 1. Murdering the Kaled Supreme Council when they wouldn't give him what he wanted. 2. Experimenting with the corpse of his dead sister. 3. Turning his own mother into a Dalek embryo. 4. Turning a Thal Spy into the first true Dalek. (Dis) Honourable mention for turning his teacher (I think) into a mutated being. Davros was facing a murder attempt by that person so that's why I've kept it as a mention.

You know, I use to think it was weird and hypocritical of Davros to be so spiteful to the Doctor for cuaisng the end of the Dalek, but.....I think it's something slightly different. While Davros thinks he's in the right, he also knows he enjoy killing and destruction. I think the thing he hates most about the Doctor is he's ashamed of any death and descruction he causes himself. Which fits pretty well with his "are you ready to become a God?" line when tempting the Doctor to wipe out the Dalek race in the Witch's Familiar.(yes, I know it was a trick, but still) Like the Dalek Emperor, Davros wants to see the Doctor become like him.

Originally the creation of the Daleks was to make sure the Kaleds survive but Davros deviated and perverted the idea. Even the Traitor Dalek says this lol. And there's something that Davros never pondered an answers to a question that Collin Baker's Doctor said to the Dalek in the Jubile audio epsiode. Asking if the Daleks, conquered and destroyed the entire galaxy, ruled every race, and destroyed those who oposed them, what then for the Daleks? As there would be nothing left for the Daleks to conquer and destroy.

I think they literally always had that ability, it simply took until Remenberace of the Daleks to actively be sen hovering. While the New Series. Daleks can outright fly.

After rewatching Rassilon trying to escape the time war through the master, I noticed something. In order to finally win, Rassilon proposed to turn the time lords into beings of consciousness outside the grips of time at the cost of destroying everyone else. It sounds awfully like the reality bomb that Davros created but with extra steps. It’s funny isn’t it? Both sides came up with similar solutions in order to ‘win’.

Davros probably is evil, but he's not like most villains who know they are bad people and enjoy hurting/killing others. Like Thanos, he thinks he is doing the right thing - he created the Daleks so his race would survive and designed them to end all wars and bring about peace. He was born into a centuries long war, and that's going to have an impact on morality. Thanos wiped out half of reality, but after realising the remaining half weren't happy, he thought he should destroy the entire universe and start again. Davros' reality bomb would have fulfilled his initial goal of ending all wars.
