- ADDENDUMS - - a note on point number 4-- you DO want to wear a loose, front-opening something to your actual surgery date (button-up shirt, zip-up sweater, etc) because your surgical team might be re-dressing you after the operation while you're still unconscious!! they cant do that very well if you just have a big t-shirt - the cirque_physio/GCC recovery protocol is out! Honestly, a little same. But ultimately I know I want full flat top surgery because I want to be able to control when I look feminine, and not have my body default that for me. Also, I cosplayed for years and am very familiar with the existence of breast forms and bra molds, so thats always an option on the days you wanna be a bit more fem. So much easier to add when you want than it is to try to minimize, especially if your chest is huge by default.

an important caveat to this that i didn't think to mention in the video is that you _do_ definitely want something loose and front-opening to wear on the actual surgery date, because your surgical team might be putting your clothes back on you while you're still unconscious!

I got my top surgery done in May of this year and I can confirm your nipples will look....really bad. I messaged my doctor to ask if my right nipple was starting to look necrotic it looked so bad... lol. So, yeah. I also need to see if they can do a revision to it because for some reason it looks like it was stitched down in the center and just looks awkward to me. >.> But, yeah, the movement bit by bit is so helpful as you heal. After the first month I had almost my full range of motion back with the exception of reaching my arms fully extended upward. A couple more weeks of gentle stretches and movements and I was good as new. I will say that I didn't lift anything over like, 5 pounds for that whole first month because I was overly anxious about pulling anything at all during that time. I had accidentally jerked my arm too much once and I was terrified I had ripped the incision open. It hurt like a mother, but I didn't rip anything thank goodness. So after that I just stopped trying to lift things that weren't super light. Also, I lost it at the lobotomy blooper. XD

Hi, I'm not sure if you'll see this but I just stumbled upon your channel thanks to youtube recommendations and your videos have been an absolute treasure. I've been going through some tough times lately and watching your videos has helped me feel a little better. I love the idea of creating outfits on your own and sort of bringing your own fantasy into our mundane and depressing lives. I don't have the time, the funds, nor the skills (broke uni student) to be able to go about making all the wonderful outfits you've been making but just seeing you do what you do at least makes me feel a little inspired to find little ways to express myself, like wearing a flower hairpin like Basil from OMORI. Funny coincidence that Basil is also the name of the character in The Picture of Dorian Gray which I assume your name is a reference to. I'm not out as nonbinary to anyone irl yet so it feels rather isolating as a queer person especially when living in a conservative country (Japan), but your videos have been a sort of comfort food for my soul where I can feel safe, at least in my mind. The video where you reacted to yourself in a sweater post-op gave me secondhand gender euphoria even though I wasn't born with breasts myself. Thank you for making these videos and I hope you will continue to make more in the future.

I need to keep putting more effort towards keep straightening my back and moving my arms. My shoulders and ribs have been so sore from the hunch!! Easily the most painful part of this operation. As a queer person who has just had their second reduction surgery in ten years (as well as lipo, to help with shaping), I second a lot of these points! (Obviously the surgeries are similar, though not exactly the same, but I think a lot of queer folks from various ends of the gender spectrum can also benefit from this advice as well, in my case it was a combo of body dysmorphia and pain and a smidgeon of gender stuff too.) Thanks for the reminder about stretching 😬, I started feeling a lot of stiffness and soreness in my shoulders and back, and I've been really grumpy about it). I've been wearing a mix of button-ups and turtlenecks (because it's cold and under-layers are smart). I would usually sort of lean forward and "dive" into the turtlenecks. My PJ's are non-button up, but they're the nice roomy cotton ones from the UNIQLO Men's section, and very easy to get into. Coats have been really annoying though, and I usually need help. Two things I would add: * NAUSEA: If you have a sensitivity to anaesthesia, talk to your surgeon and your anesthesiologist beforehand, and ask them if something like the TIVA method would work for you. For my first reduction, I had HORRIBLE nausea, to the point where they could not release me the same day from the hospital, and it was a very stressful night that I was not prepared for. I got the TIVA method done for the recent one, and there was definitely still a normal amount of post-OP nausea, but not nearly as bad, and I felt SO MUCH BETTER AFTER. I also didn't end up needing to take my nausea meds after the first day (keep them on hand though, certain types are apparently really good if you get food poisoning.) * If you know you have Raynauds Syndrome, MENTION THIS TO YOUR DOCTOR. If you don't know what it is, it's a condition where your body over-reacts to the cold, and draws blood away from the fingers, toes, and more importantly in this case, the nipples (in an attempt to keep your blood in your core, where your organs are). In extreme cases, it can cause frostbite or gangrene. It's unlikely to come to that even from being in a cold operating room for 2+ hours, but if you do have it, you might be eligible for the free nipple graft.
