Paul McGregor great video man 🙂👌. Meditation is a very powerful tool to use when you're having a really bad day.

Thanks man! How do you meditate?
@danieljrpolendo60646 жыл бұрын
Paul McGregor what I usually do when I meditate, is Im in a quiet place. I empty my mind, and I think about happy thoughts e.g( family, girlfriend).when you think about happy thoughts it boots your positivity and the end of your meditation you'll feel happy🙂. You might cry, but crying is one of the best things to do.

I used to meditate and it really helped. I have bipolar disorder and depression. I have been crying all day. I'm so glad you posted this today. I am going to start tonight. Tomorrow I am going to start going outside, I live on a farm out in the country and being outside helps. Great advice you have given. I will be sharing this video on my FB page.

I always find it easier to meditate during the lighter half of the year. The relaxation, the concentration and visualisations. In general, my spirituality is best in the summer and worst in the winter. Maybe I should do more morning-rituals during the winter?

Thanks a lot. very useful tips. One more thing, like you said that there will be distractions so one point to deal with this is : UNIVERSAL ACCEPTANCE, when you hear something accept that and carry on, don't try to fight it accept it all and continue.

Great video! meditation is a great tool in our lives to relieve stress. Relieving stress is important for our health and the impact we have on others around us. I agree that meditation will not cure everything, but it is a great tool that can be used to improve our lives.

Great advice thanks. I have meditated for many years and do the focussing on the breath meditation which is also a prelude to the Vipassanna meditation I do that teaches you how not to chase short term pleasure or run away from short term pain. Very beneficial if you think you can stand the challenging (but immensely rewarding) 10 day training course,

Thank you! Everyone says meditate, but they never tell you anything more than "be still and quiet and turn your thoughts inward". Well, that's part of the problem! LOL, great advice. *edit - Not getting frustrated and angry is a big thing with me, I have ADHD and frustration is possibly one of the most difficult aspects of my condition.

It helps to make an attempt to clear your mind of all extraneous thought, turn your vision inward and listen carefully to your spirit: "… if the faculty of meditation is bathed in the inner light and characterized with divine attributes, the results will be confirmed." ~ Baha'i Faith

There is nothing special about the breath. You can meditate without ever being aware of the breath. The breath is just convenient as an anchor for your awareness.

When thoughts appear during meditation, you can’t just shoot them out of your head, then it stresses and defeats the purpose of the benefits of meditation. Leave your mind at rest and let it wonder. Keep a simile state of mind to your normal so it becomes normal for you
