As someone who is from Destin and the surrounding areas, the girl walking down the street in the miniskirt...well I can tell you by no means was she unique and evidently the guy was just a freak who wouldn't take no for an answer...it had absolutely NOTHING to do with her wearing a miniskirt or to do with her being in Destin, Florida (which believe it or not does not even have prostitutes that street walk)!

Never live by a lake or water in Florida! I live here, had a friend who had a condo whose slider opened towards the lake here in Seminole Florida. He showed me a picture of the morning he got up for work only to find a 9 foot alligator sitting in the grass of his back yard staring at the sliding glass door!

Still a thing in the state today, I have a family member who is insane and who is definitely not fit to raise her own kids... but the state will not do anything to her because she is the "mother". The system in Florida honestly sucks, the law sucks here and definitely fails many kids. That is why this state has so many mentally messed up individuals. I am originally from Illinois, and after spending a decade here in Florida, I seriously want to leave. Not everyone is insane here, but so many messed up and crazy things happen here and it only gets crazier as the years go by and as the population grows.

Watching this from next to the South Skyway Fishing Pier in Manatee County, Florida! Sitting in the dark, under the stars, looking out at the water and the Skyway Bridge. Perfect spot for listening to scary Florida stories!

@@stirredbutnotshaken7698 It is. I grew up in the Maryland/Pennsylvania/Virginia area. One visit to Florida and I never looked back. I love it here.

Honestly, craziness is everywhere. Florida isn't that bad. I've lived here my entire life. I don't like the heat or the annoying people but it's not that bad.

The only scary thing about Florida is sharks, bugs, alligators, crackheads, crazy old people, Florida man, school shooters, club shooters, hurricanes, tornadoes, extreme heat, weather that gets 60 degrees and under, and etc. Trust me I’m a Florida Native.
