It's important to remember that the US justice system isn't broken by a few idiots. It's working as those with the power to change want it to. It largely exists to vilify an underclass, make a show of big fines for scapegoats from the upper echelons, and keep slave labor in for profit prison pursuits at capacity. In many jurisdictions, the municipality must pay a penalty if their prison system drops below 97% full or so.
@PostRequisite2 жыл бұрын
@@hamsters7760 pay a penalty for not having enough bad guys to put in prison. that sounds like a flawed system.

@@PostRequisite Between that, elected judges, and the overall classist propaganda campaigns to keep poor people hating poorer people instead of looking upwards, it's a bit of a cluster. I had my rott puppy for about 6 months when my husband was on our road about to come home and sees some young girl practically dragging our dog on a leash down our road away from our house. Thank God he stopped and said something. She claimed the dog was hers until my hubs got out (exciting our puppy, seeing his dad) and called him "Brother come here buddy" lol our rott nearly yanked her to the ground so excited. He dove in the truck and they pulled into the driveway to see me outside calling for our pup. (btw my daughter named him lol we got him on her first valentines day. She is now 4 and him 3, they are best friends and I never have to worry about intruders or letting her play out in our yard if I need to walk away a minute or something. We also had a neighbor steal our two small rescue dogs when they got loose once. She hid them in her home for days trying to claim they were not our dogs when we were going house to house asking if they had been seen. People are so strange.... like its hard to go adopt an animal at a shelter or something 🙄 no lets just steal our neighbors pets! We have been very lucky so far thankfully smh

Regarding story #6... I hear the same BS over and over again when someone is so clearly wrongfully convicted to the point where there's actual physical evidence exonerating them. The courts/prosecutors are so dead set on upholding the conviction because to them having the admit they actually wrongfully convicted and jailed/sentenced to death an innocent person is somehow worse than actually maintaining that conviction and keeping that person in jail (or actually killing them in death penalty cases). Literally, to these assholes, evidence of innocence DOESN'T COUNT. Only evidence of guilt.

I was just watching the Dateline NBC episode on the murder of Kay Mortenson, which the detective and DA pinned on his son and daughter-in-law based on some very spurious evidence. They spent four months in jail before the wife of one of the real killers came forward. Story 5 has this unsettling feel to it. Especially when he said “I don’t know how much of Wendy you’d be getting back”. It like he was saying she was a completely different person and he truly believed that she was too far gone to get back.
@pizzagroom622111 ай бұрын
maybe because it was a different person? imagine getting a letter from a PI that basically says "I found and talked to your adult daughter, except she went though a late growth spurt, has a different eye color, doesn't respond to Wendy, and she had a bandage where here heart tattoo is. But it's definitely her." I'd just straight up question how hard they investigated.

@@pizzagroom6221 I was wondering too, If I had money I would rtry again with investigator that have expecience with cults. Bc she could be taller if she was young I don't remember if he said age but the hight could change if she left as 18 years old, it isn't impossible, but in women case quiet rare, also some medice can really awake cells to grow. but rest things he wrote could be explained by begin in cult and non stop on drugs then, yeah sure she could not recognise name, bc when she joined they give her new name, comon practice and then give her drugs and use only new name and told her that life before was dream, etc, it is actually popular tactic of manipulators especially in cult like groups and her black eyes would be bc of begin high (like Manson). weird thing is bandage in place of tattoo. I never heard the part of what happened to his remains, even when I was in college a few years ago.

Actually, it made think of the recent Holocaust Awareness Day that went vastly ignored -- it's known that Nazis turned some of their victims into furniture.

Start out small and steady like u said...make a list and fulfill it every week. Once you've accomplished that reaching higher should also accept location improvement...learn about safe locations and what types of events can happen to cause a shtf.

FOR STORY #2: I don't know if you will ever read this or not ... but I just wanted to say that I am so so sorry for your loss!!! I don't know how it feels to lose my brother, but, I lost my best friend in the whole wide world about 5 years ago (she was my everything and I miss her so damn much!!!) i lost my dad as well when I was 8 (1/5/2000). So i know what loss can do to a person! I hope you are doing okay tho!!!!

I appreciate how writers and/or narrators on KZbin censor graphic detail. Especially the longest story, I can't believe how long it took to get justice.

Wow, I want my body to be made into a beautiful clock, for my ancestors perhaps! Judging by its description, to cremate this clock sounds like the one crime of this story.

I actually had my dog stolen before when my dad had to go to the store for a moment. He wasn’t there when my dad went back outside. Somehow a few weeks later my dad found him in the sketchy area of town when the dog noticed my dad. He was to be sold by some sketchy guys. My dad then beat the guys up and got the dog back. It was kinda annoying that my dad left him outside unattended though,

Fifth story is complete fiction. It's beyond me how obvious fiction gets put into true story categories.

What are you guys theory on the Wendy story? I can't wrap my head around what could happen?

I think she was a skin walker and that's why the detective got scared and didn't want the parents to keep pursuing looking for her explains her height change and different eye.

@@kiavethrodriguez7073 a skin walker taking the form of Wendy?
@kiavethrodriguez70732 жыл бұрын
@@dianaperez6369 yes that's what I'm thinking since the detective was so frightened and told her parents to stop looking for her

Lol its like all Ohio stories. I used to think it was a quiet state but quickly learned a lot of ish happens there. Glad I grew up in a tiny city there where nothing ever happened.

This might be a weird compliment but I think you're the only person that actually does True Crime related stuff if used with stories that were submitted honestly I think it's a breath of fresh air compared to the cut and paste story that a person narrates and talks about it for 2 seconds and then heads to the next story I like the fact that you do the story Justice by explaining the entire thing rather than just skimming over it and getting to the scary or interesting parts of it

For story 5, my theory is that what ever happened to Wendy, it gave her a major dissociative disorder (mental disorders that involve experiencing a disconnection and lack of continuity between thoughts, memories, surroundings, actions and identity).
