It was released in 1996, the same year that the N64 came out. By the time Carranger would be adapted to Turbo, the SNES would be old news. @@otaking3582 Presumably it's because they had by this point already done two belt-scrollers and a one-on-one fighter with the Zords, so something with the team's bikes was the only unexplored bit of the franchise (which was ebbing in popularity quite a bit by that point IIRC).
@otaking35824 жыл бұрын
@@TransmitHim Yeah, I knew that PR's popularity was in decline, but the motorcycles just seem like the last thing one usually thinks about the franchise. I binge-watched all of Zeo a few months ago, and their bikes only showed up in two or three episodes (and most of that was relegated to stock footage from Ohranger). Hell, Gold Ranger didn't even have a bike on the show, and yet he's the one on the game's boxart! I have three possibilities about what could've happened bts: 1) Natsume started working on a Carranger racing game and a Zeo beat-em-up, but then Bandai told them about the SuFami Turbo and how Mode 7 probably wasn't gonna work on budget cartridges. 2) Bandai wanted a killer app for the Apple Pippin (which they co-produced), so that system ended up getting a Zeo beat-em-up while forcing all of the other developers to make stuff that's as far removed from a beat-em-up as possible just to throw salt in the wound. 3) Natsume just wanted to make a Mario Kart rip-off and slapped an existing IP on it just so people would buy the damn thing (which considering the rarity of Wild Guns cartridges is not an irrational fear)

Sad thing is it was meant to be a lot better, but the development team got crapped on by WB who were eager to sell the license to another company. Their budget was slashed again & again, and every time they wanted to try out a new idea or plot point they had to run it through a load of different people (including Warner, who of course took ages to reply and then shot down 90% of the ideas sent their way). What we got in the end was actually a first draft of the game. The team sent it in to see what WB thought and it was just put out without their knowledge or green light! So I stroll into the store, go to the back door, kick it open and pull out my gun to start blasting...only to realize my mistake as I see the lit stick of dynamite go flying through the air and quickly make a dash to escape the store before it all exploded, resulting in me having to wait for the store to reopen later to try again. @@michaelandreipalon359 There is some leeway as to where exactly to draw the line when it turned bad. I would personally consider season 7 the pinnacle, then a slow decline, then a rapid fall. But I think including season 10 is still alright. ;)

6:49 one of the worst things about being a teenaged girl in the naughties was hearing the term ‘pimp’ used as the ultimate compliment when it also designated a man who trafficked, raped, exploited, robbed and beat women. As his job. Not just like a personality flaw. It was inescapable and even people who should know better used it constantly. Gen Z has issues but any Millenial who used the word pimp favorable should be quiet in the culture wars.

An Eastenders game would just involve cat fights in the street, numerous love triangles with increasingly unlikely people, weddings ruined by running away at the altar, someone being kidnapped or run over or the church being set on fire. All soaps are extremely depressing. If you were going to make a game based on a soap though, the Telltales system would probably be the best option.
