Hi Eric and Paula! I just found your KZbin channel and you guys have no idea what a blessing it’s been to have found you guys and watching this vlog. I’m a very amateur triathlete who is doing their 1st 70.3 at Steelhead in just about 6 weeks. I’m mediocre in all 3 sports and looking to complete without receiving a DNF. Thanks so much for sharing your TRI life.

So true! For me, the races i was the most proud of was when all went wrong and i somehow did it. Like my first long distance race where i had terrible stomach issues on the bike (probably caused by heat and non optimal neutrition) and could not eat stuff anymore after km 90. I somehow finished the bike and then the marathon with some Coke (no idea how i managed it) and was super sad about my time and how brutal that race felt. After a few days i was more proud than with my agegroup wins over shorter distance.

I raced St. George a few years ago and found the scenery beautiful. My family and I are Native American and often got the "cold shoulder" while in town. We decided not to go back and that is unfortunate because the race course is wonderful.
@fasterthanyou76053 жыл бұрын
I have adopted family and my best friend is native. We love St george. Please go back. If you ever get or think you are getting treated differently kill them with enthusiasm and kindness. It truly is the only superpower against prejudice. Avoidance, anger, marches, etc do nothing. Smile love those around you, treat everyone with joy and happiness it will conquest the world. And that isn’t a bubble answer it’s the truth. I’ve done it myself

Hey! Just wanted to say beautiful video. Thank you both for being an inspiration for me and my fiancé. I’m an aspiring professional ultrarunner in the infancy of my journey. You inspire to continue to show up and do my best no matter what is happening. My fiancé and I also bought a bus that one day we’ll convert to our home- inspired by you both traveling in your van! We’re hoping to travel and find community around the US. Thanks for everything you are doing. Peace. Chris

Hey Eric and Paula, great vlog, terrible race. Kidding, tough race. Sorry for the long post, but if either of you go to utube and go to imterribee vlog. A utuber filmed parts of the race and if you go to the time frame of about 30:30, you can catch Eric heading out with the pack. For Paula, go to about 33:40 or so, the utuber has a great view and 4 mins. of Paula and the Viper(Daniela Ryf) transitioning. Intense! Good luck at the Xterra race Eric. I did one a long time ago and had a lot of fun! Bring the noise!

Awesome vlog you guys I got to meet Eric post race in St George we had a great conversation from triathlon, working in Ems as I do and also I’m married to a red head from Canada. Always cheering for both of you no matter the results. You guys appeal to us normal mid pack age groupers because you show that no matter what your athletic abilities are we all have the same feelings. Next time hopefully I’ll get to chat with Paula.

I love how you not only give great content about both of you as Triathletes but also bring attention tonight other stuff like the small coffee roasters. Letting a friend perform a song or using music from a different group here or there. You are both kind of the good social conscience of triathlon. 100% good positive energy from you. 👍👍👍

So missed you guys last week, but racing takes center stage, especially if it is how you earn your hard wages. Great video as always. Racing is always hard, no matter whether your a pro near the front and the prize money or you're the average age-grouper making up the numbers. Great effort. As age groupers always have to say onwards to the next race. Some days it's your days, others days are not!. Just keep working, and all will come around again. Stay safe, see you next week, much love from the UK.

FYI. Sand Hollow Aquatic Center off Sunset in St. George has 8 lanes and very few people if you avoid the high school swim teams on the weekday afternoons. Met Sebastian Kienle there in 2019. $3-5 dollar entry but might be free that week for competitors just like Snow Canyon State Park for cyclists.
