I did that race in 2013.... hot...i was top 20 up until the run. One mile into the run i caved in, first time in my 20 yrs of tri's...im done, just bike a lot now @ 64. I just did 80 miles yesterday 4000 of climb...im still biking strong... Great job son...

Great Job Eric. That 7th doesn't reflect how close it was. Taking away Gustav who was on fire. About 4 minutes separated 2 thru 9 so great battles right to the end. Long time follower and so happy for you. Sad to say that you easing off the filming for channel helped you focus on your goal (sad for us as viewers but more than happy for you). I would like to wish you an Irish good luck "go n-éirí an bóthar leat" (translation:- “May the road [i.e. the journey] be successful for you”) But as the saying goes " the more I train the luckier I get", So go get lucky both of you.
