You can sense a higher energy level in Eric now. These recent successes coupled with whatever changes in training hes made have reenergized him. It's good to see.

Also coincides with his increase in plant dietary fiber intake… from the outside looks like lots of little changes coming together. Stoked for him

I think Paula’s injury weighed pretty heavy on his mind as well. As a significant other, you really want to help but when you can’t make it better it gets you down a little.

Another awesome finish on a tough course & soon after a half too! Tip: Brown rice over white, refrigerate overnight - changes to a resistant starch. Freezing white bread keeps it fresher & lowers GI 39%.

I always hear/heard about "beating your number" Eric, you are burying the number!! Love this. Those xterra courses are totally gnarly! "Raceweek dinner" I am now craving a taco bowl! BTW, went to Viva Chicken in St. George-amazing as usual!! Can you say "I want it THAT way"...... I wanted to say "I'll just take one of each" but settled with Quinoa stuffed avocado. Their sauces are unbelievable. YUM

Thank you for sharing, Thanks again for 08:48 there are people that would have us believe we should never purchase anything from the seasonings section of the wholesale clubs. I find keeping the bulk chili (just add a can of tomato sauce to the ground meat); taco (just add water to the ground meat) & Italian Seasoning (just add to sauce or pizza) opens up ideas for meals. Like the Costco Granulated Garlic, it all gets used. Last year we where only able to get seasoning via delivery if we ordered minimum of 2 of the same at a time. Everything in that seasoning order has been used without coming close to the expiration date.

Id be curious as to your opinion. Duathlon or triathlon more difficult? I spoke with Lisa Norden after her win at Challenge Salou this past weekend which was turned in to a du. She said no question duathlon.
@ThatTriathlonLife3 жыл бұрын
Duathlon is brutal. After a swim, I feel a little tired but ready to use my legs. After a 4k run, you’re hypoxic and a bike ride is the last thing you want to do haha

Cant wait to watch, will run extra fast today, lol so I can make it back and watch,,,now if you want to improve your swim, start running Spartan races, or if you are like me, just make them up, today I run 13 miles of hills, just like the Spartans, now the problem, there are several of you mountain biking now, hmmmm, well no worries, race is won in the swim, and if not there the run, lol and you people still swim in pools, so I got advantage there, and run on treadmills, lol that one really makes me laugh, all in good fun, dont let your ego get in the way, as it will always slow you down, great job

Haven’t gotten one yet, no.. this was initially supposed to be a massive hill climb up from the lake, so I didn’t want the extra weight. I’m planning to get one over the winter to start getting used to it though. There just aren’t a ton of Xterra races where it’s necessary, IMO
@trukweaz3 жыл бұрын
@@ThatTriathlonLife I’ve raced MTB since 1998 and Xterra since 1999 and sadly you are right. All the hood hard courses have gone. Bama you’d use one for blood rock but that’s about it.

When I am done with the sport, tredmills will be a thing of the past, like they are pointless, kind of like swimming in pools, now I watched the Olympic open water swimmers, the guy who won, didnt even breath of to the side, it was always a sight breath, every other stroke, see swiming pools dont teach you that, lol
