Thank you very much for this video. For the past few weeks after moving into a new house (new to me house) and with little time on my hands I have been trying to build the perfect golf simulator room with what money I want/have to spend. You start spending enough time in some of the forums and are literally shamed because "you can't buy that artificial turf it is too cheap", "don't go with the 3/4" rubber puzzle pads, you need at least 1", "don't hang your impact screen like that, you'll have too much bounce", "a simulator will never work for you because you don't have enough height in your garage", and on and on. I suppose I paid the price in asking for advice. But watching this video and seeing these setups, I should be happy with what I have. I am happy with what I have and can start playing today, rather than needing another few weeks of getting it perfect. So thank you for this video!

😂 it can be a mine field but my best advice which it seems you have already taken on board is to just go for it! You can always adjust/improve your room over time which lots of people do to keep striving for ‘perfection’! Thanks for your comment 👍🏼

@@hcpgolf Hit some into the screen for the first time last night. Bounces a little too much so I'll have to reduce the tension between the screen and pipe. Also have to figure out how to better hand the projector power cord and the cord which goes from the projector to the laptop as they seem to be hanging too much.

Did you buy the sky track package that comes with the projector or not? I noticed people are buying a separate projector often.
@hcpgolf4 жыл бұрын
I bought SkyTrak, projector and everything separately. it works out much cheaper 👍🏼

Hi Mitch, Can you tell me the name of this net and launch monitor? How do I send a picture? it's a smaller net that looks like it opens up. It's pictured in a garage. I can't identify the monitor either?

Larry, if you send me a picture via email (21toscratch@gmail.com) I will try and help you out. Or let me know what minute/second in the video the net & setup is I will have a look 👍🏼

Having a simulator building built at the moment, limited to 16ft length x 12ft width x 10.5 ft height, will be going into teaching / coaching in the next couple of years, which launch monitor would you recommend, looking at the ES Tour Plus as a starter, already been scammed on Ebay for £4000 trying to buy a GC2, thanks
@hcpgolf3 жыл бұрын
I really don’t know much about the ES Tour Plus unfortunately so I can’t really comment on that launch monitor. With your somewhat limited studio dimensions I can personally only recommend SkyTrak because you don’t need a large room at all to use SkyTrak. I’m sorry to hear that you have been scammed on eBay 🤦🏻♂️

@@hcpgolf cheers for the reply, yes you live and learn with the Ebay thing, was originally looking at Skytrak the only thing that has put me off is the lack of club data for teaching, but you get what you pay for I suppose, might end up with one yet though
@hcpgolf3 жыл бұрын
Ye I guess club data is important if you’re going to be teaching. Good luck mate 👍🏼

What’s the minimum ceiling height that you’ve found is needed to not have issues?
@hcpgolf4 жыл бұрын
The recommended ceiling height to be able to swing all your clubs is 3 meters. It all depends on your swing though and how steep or shallow it is and of course how tall you are. But the general consensus is that 3m height and you will be fine 👍🏼

Hi, my dimensions are approx: 2.4m high 2.4m wide 5.5m deep

Can you comfortably swing a driver in a 2.4m high room?
@hcpgolf4 жыл бұрын
no the longest club I can swing comfortably is a 6 iron 😌
