I'm always looking forward to 70's American commercials. Not sure why haha. But it's only 11 pm on the other side of the world where I live.

Sweeney Todd…One of my favorite musicals. Love the live recording they did, and saw the revival with Josh Groban last year on Broadway, which was sensational. The musical was a critical darling when it premiered, but took a while to be embraced by the masses.

Back in the mid-90's when I still worked for the airlines here in SFO, I got to meet Joe Dimaggio as he was flying on our airline. I guess he still had a house here in The Bay. Such a nice man. Very low key. Sadly he passed just a few years later.

Did the end of that Pathmark commercial sound like Toyota "Who Could Ask For Anything More"? They were using that around this time too I believe. RIP James Karen AND Pathmark! TWEEEENTY-four hours a day!

Oh and Fred Facey was WNBC's live announcer that night (same announcer that would later be the V/O for NEWS 4 NEW YORK and TODAY)

Pathmark- Interesting to see that the design of the mermaid mascot on the “Chicken Of The Sea” Tuna cans at 2:14 hasn’t changed much over the years. Levi’s Womenswear- Nice Rotoscope Style animation they used in this commercial.
