No matter how many high-steppin' David Naughton Dr. Pepper commercials they pushed, we always drank Coke/Craigmont soda in the 70s. By the case. Plus a whole box of Cocoa Puffs/Count Chocula, entire 5lb bags of popsicles, a box of Twinkies/Ding-Dongs/Dolly Madison, then for dinner~ a big can of Chef Boyardee Raviolis or a Mama Celeste Pizza. How I am still alive and not shooting insulin, I'll never know. Must be all that running around outside we did, pretending to be Thundar the Barbarian.

@Warzau1 It might just be a California thing, but at most convenience stores around here you can purchase Mexican Coca Cola (Made with cane sugar) in 12 oz glass bottles, and they sell cases of the stuff at box stores like Costco.

So I see these commercials for the first time. I see the 70s leak into the 80s then the 80s leak into the 90s. The the 2000 happened and it’s harder for me to tell the era by clothes and even year except for technology
@80sCommercialVault5 жыл бұрын

@holbrooke7 I watched it when it was on SA for a minute when I was a kid. The Gong Show is basically America's Got Talent Jr. Or should I say AGT is a cross between Gong Show and Star Search? @barndancer61 There were times the Unknown Comic (who was unmasked--unbagged?--as Murray Langston) would actually kill. He was on Make Me Laugh a lot as well.
