I got a sub 30 from around 2008 still going well. I will be changing the seat to a more comfortable one and the grips the ergonomic ones

I find budget tektros are way better then budget shimano, aside from the lever clack. You can get sks mudguards with special stays designed for suntour forks which attach to those points you mentioned btw

NIce looking bike. I have a sub cross 40 and I have an issue with my front suspension, anytime it compresses/decompresses it makes a chattering/screeching noise like it isn't lubed. I have tried to lube it some to see if it would help and it didn't do much. Any tips to quiet the noise so that I can enjoy my bike on longer rides?

get some actual shock lube for it they make some thic grease that might help if not then there could be something wrong internally

I am kind of confused? In the video he says you can replace the tire with a 700c size tire. Later on in the video he says the wheel is 29 in? 700c tire will not fit on a 29 inch wheel.

So this bike advertised? The Scott sub 30 would be faster? The frame is aluminum, it has high speeds 27 and the tires can changed to thinner.......is this bike just as fast if not faster after the tires change?

I own this bike and feel the tyres have a bit of rolling resistance, although not all that much. Thinner tyres will certainly improve the performance of this bike. I’ll be getting Continental tires soon
