700 HP Modified Nissan GTR Track Edition - One Take

The Nissan GTR is such an interesting and polarizing car, even after I've driven so many of them. I want to not like it, and in some ways I don't like it, but under the right conditions, when you really get to open it up, you realize just how special the Nissan GTR is, and how easy it is to get all that power to the ground.

The launch and transmission issues were a problem in 2009 only. After that, they changed the programming and after 2012, the transmissions had different components.

It's amazing that the R35 has been with us for almost a decade! In that time, we've seen a wide variety on the streets even here in podunk Lubbock, TX from stock to 1200awhp+. It is really cool seeing the versatility of the platform, from street to auto-x, road race, digs, rolls and top speed runs. We'll see how long it hangs on as the Huracán aftermarket is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with! Bryan, thanks for bringing it to the show for us to enjoy!

I remember hearing the chief engineer of this project saying that the extra weight has a similar effect to how downforce works in other cars by pushing the wheels down to the ground giving more traction. So what Matt said about taking out weight on the car and being slower makes sense since it would make the car have less traction coming off the line.

I've driven most new Supercars. 488 just recently, Amg Gts F tpye r etc. Without being a Fan of the Gtr and just putting that a side. In all fairness I have to say the Gtr even after all these years is still an alien,an complete anomality that has never been matched. The mechanical noises the level of grip due to the legendary engeneering by Mizuno San.. the fact it out launches everything today but maybe a 991 Turbo S. All these facts aside the R35 is still the all around Most special and awesome Car I've driven in my Life (2012 version) I am from a way younger generation than Matt though so I absolutly understand that he quite doesn't get or like it. For him the R34 prob. was the same thing that the r35 is for kids born in the early 90s up till now. Very very misunderstood car in many ways but when it comes to just driving, Still The Boss ;-)
