Hey Tim when a stock is about to crack support & there isn't any clear resistance for a while on the way down or about to break over resistance to new highs, how do you justify your risk/reward?

Glad to see you back Tim.. Can you make a brief vid showing how you trade using VWAP?

I personally use it to indicate support and resistance but it is more useful in higher priced stocks

a question please, if you're watching an over extended stock and after its consecutive green day it opens red right out of the gate, how do you short it ? you wait for what ? thank you in advance
@kroyrunner897 жыл бұрын
i usually wait for pops
@SoudedFakhry7 жыл бұрын
can you specify please, what do you mean by pops ? (example: NRG today 17/Jul) and do you recommend shorting 20$ and above stocks if they were overextended ? thank you
@xaviercouture-brochu58077 жыл бұрын
After the big over extention you want the stock to turn red= snap in the momentum. After that we will often see a morning spike because of dip buyers and it's in that spike that you want to get in. You should watch his DVD TT ;)
@ricky-stewart7 жыл бұрын
He means a pop towards the previous close or r/g, and therefore using it as the predetermined risk level. build into the squeeze towards r/g

Curious... how can I find out when a perk up in price was caused by a chat room alert/message? How do I know where to find this information about stocks? Do you have links you keep an eye on while trading that show you all of that extra information, and if so, can you send me those links or ways you track that information. Thank you Tim!!!

What is the reasoning for holding this over night on the Friday? To me I'd be scared to hold over night considering it didn't exactly have a weak close, it was pretty much sideways most of Friday.
@Larrysixtyfourtwelve7 жыл бұрын
He didn't hold it overnight, he bought it midday as he specified in the video
@kroyrunner897 жыл бұрын
it still closed below the open, action felt weak to me, had no reason to be scared
@RedCandles_7 жыл бұрын
It's wild to me that you initially risk off of high of day. It makes perfect sense though because you can always move risk down and size in more later plus you'll have a much greater win rate. I'm going to start doing that. I aim for too high R/R with too tight a stop. Could work greatly but don't have the nerve to keep re-shorting. I like your style better.

Can you do another video on all of the indicators you look at that allows you to determine all of the level 2 information, like the buy orders and who is buying and selling and how you figure all of that out? That extra information would be super helpful for everyone. This video is all great but a lot of us don't know about all of that extra information you explain about gurus and the buyers and how it's getting weak and how it's failing and the indicators you see that makes you know it's failing. I look at the level 2 and I don't understand how it all works. Thank you Tim!!!

This video is invaluable. I’ve been trying to find a way to take the guesswork out of picking a risk level. Would you recommend scaling more size when you lower your risk level or just riding the original size out with a mitigated risk?

Tim I have been looking through Stephen Dux shorts, and he shorts before the first red day. right when a stock skyrockets he will wait for sideways action and short the soon to be downtrend. isn't that risky?? and do you do that as well?
@kroyrunner897 жыл бұрын
i will do it sometimes if the setup is right, but it's definitely riskier (if you don't cut losses)

alert in which chatroom?
@terptech23417 жыл бұрын
Question, how would you have handled this trade if it gaped over night past that 1.72 high? I'm sure the answer is to cut for a loss but how? Would you get out premarket or wait for a dip in open market?
@kroyrunner897 жыл бұрын
premarket and right at open, depending on volume and how strong the gap was. would have had to take off in pieces for sure though

I've been following you and Sykes for awhile now and I can't thank you enough for all the great content the past few years. My problem is I only have enough to fund my Etrade and IB accounts. I still to this day have never found shares to short on the most simple major pumps. Do you know of any brokers, besides CP, that I could fund with around 10k and still almost always find shares to short? Or am I doomed to another two years at my full time job saving up 50k before I can start taking advantage of the simplest plays?
@relaxingmusic49617 жыл бұрын
I'm looking for a broker. How come you can't find shares to short with IB and Etrade? I thought they were the 2 best?
@kroyrunner897 жыл бұрын
Centerpoint will let you open with $30k I believe. I've also heard "Tradezero" is good for locates, although I have no personal experience with them and don't know much about them. So you may want to give them a try. Hope this turns out to be useful!
