If you have plenty of runway you can roll it on with a wet runway- the spoilers will load up the wheels and reverse thrust gets to earn its keep. At KLGA put it down, at KATL roll it on.

The aiming point being displaced further down the runway leads to wasting valuable meters of the runway, especially in bad weather. That can nicely be observed in the first video. Most pilots seem to forget: The touchdown zone begins at the threshold!!

This is not general aviation. Commercial pilots will ALWAYS try to land at the 1,000 foot markers inorder for them to have some leeway if anything happens (i.e. an engine failure). Also there's a higher risk of landing short if you try to land at the very start of the runway, landing short is bad enough for small GA aircrafts now imagine a 73 or 74 landing short.

We don't aim for the threshold at the Majors, we aim for the 1,000' markers and brief where on the runway the last point of touchdown is, before we must go around. The video is correct you are wrong.
