Im watching and rewatching all these videos, definitely will subscribe, I am trying to learn how to fly this aircraft in FS24, and these alongside a320 Sim Pilot are by far the best videos out there. Congrats.

First of all great video. Thanks. secund, maybe you can tell why turning on/off anti ice systems are not automated. it seems that it have very clear and simple rules for that.
@A330Driver4 ай бұрын
Hi, the rules are clear and simple indeed, BUT: The systems can’t detect all of the conditions of those rules by themselves. How would the system know if the visibility is in line with icing conditions or if the plane is flying through fog or clouds? There are some aircraft that have fully automated anti ice such as the 777, but this requires different certification and certain systems to be build differently.

Hello, how Do I set my a330 in ms2024 to autoclimb and auto descent like yours. I have set everything up in the FMC & pressed the correct buttons on the autopilot but it wont autoclimb or descend like your video. thanks

When ATC tells you to cross waypoint XYZ at a certain altitude, how do you put that in the MCDU? I know how to do it in the B737 but not the A320 yet. Thanks.
@A330Driver9 ай бұрын
Just do /Altitude, eg /200 for FL200 on the right side of the waypoint on the FPLN page. That will insert an FL200 restriction. Note that some addons don’t support that feature, then you need to go onto the vertical revision page of the waypoint in question and enter the restriction there.

Hello, I have a quick question, in my FCOM says seatbelts it at 10.000 when you put the landing ligths, why you put it at 15.000 it’s a as your airlines request ?
@Brandon-pq3is3 ай бұрын
Hi. If I did this IRL in the exact scenario at SABER, it would just go to FL070 BLUE. with alt blue armed instead of magenta even before reaching SABER. It wouldn’t have it in magenta at all, (unless a level off is predicted I guess) is this maybe to do with an updates fms etc?
@Brandon-pq3is3 ай бұрын
The only thing I can think of is that with new Honeywell FMS, if it doesn’t predict a level off (because you descended at the right time) it’ll go straight to alt blue, where as if there’s a level off (because you descended super early) it’ll will be in magenta.

what altitude to be put before pressing the knob for descending?
@mrbassett4388Ай бұрын
It depends what ATC clearance gives you. If no atc then you can reduce it to whatever you like maybe MSA to give yourself vectors or final approach fix altitude?
@CaptainSazzman3 ай бұрын
I noticed that the fenix did -4,000 fpm on the initial descent, is that normal in an airbus?

question ? if atc clears you to a altitude for example cross newes at 270 , before the tod do i use open decent or managed

@MikeJw-je4xkАй бұрын
I believe the Xbox has the arrows, my PC does not. If you l-click and hold over a knob, see some tips.

is the open descent = selected ALT?
@A330Driver5 ай бұрын
If you mean pulling the alt knob, yes.
@gwalker30929 ай бұрын
It’s minor question and probably doesn’t matter if you have say 3x constraints ie FL240 / 160 /80 and your cleared to 80 do you set 8000 and let the plane take care of constraints or do you set the constraints as you reach them ie step the Alt down each time ?
@aviation320-dabpa9 ай бұрын
I would say you let the airplane handle it, i. e. use managed descent.
@Jannik_Stein9 ай бұрын
I think you dial in the altitude you are cleared to. If using VNAV the plane should handle everything for you. If managing the altitude manually, I'd put in the next restriction in ordner not to accidentally descent below it.

@A330Driver8 ай бұрын
Hi, I'm not sure I understand your question correctly. Do you mean how to make the autopilot automatically start the descent at the T/D? That's not possible, you need to initiate descent manually.
