Thanks for this excellent insight Nick. I have started the 75 twice due to work commitments but even early on in this journey I am seeing a benefit in my mindset. I like the prescriptive way this programme works and the lack of BS. I have recommended the 75 hard to some colleagues who are trapped in the cycle I now recognise as self-defeating habits. Every one should do the 75 hard. I am fairly convinced that people who have been struggling with mental health issues will find huge benefits with 75 hard.

Can I just say what a brilliant video this was! Really deserves to be viewed by so many more people!!! I loved your point about the people you hang out with being a major influence on your life. I’m traveling during two weekends in the next two months and I was curious if you had any tips on how to manage during travel. I’m working on creating a sustainable lifestyle and would really like to know how people incorporate travel in their lifestyle… how do they still count macros and get a workout in?
@NickTShelton3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the support! Yes, travel can be chaotic, but definitely possible to still live the lifestyle you are creating. 2 things I’d recommend: 1) prep ahead of time - if there is a market nearby, get your staples there as soon as you arrive to your destination. Be proactive about hitting your macros, not reactive throughout the day. 2) Make the smartest choice- Sometimes, especially if you are traveling with family and friends, they will want to go out to eat. The main thing, if all else fails, is to choose the item that will be the best fit for your macros. Typically every place has some type of “healthier” option. At the end of the day, play the long game. Do your best on sticking to the lifestyle you’ve created. Here’s a video I made about traveling and sticking to my macros. Hope it helps, maybe a few tips! 75 Hard & Traveling | Is it possible? kzbin.info/www/bejne/kH68oHR-e5Vrb8k

Good question William. Sure, failure crossed my mind a time or two early on, but you can’t let the fear cripple you from experiencing the success on the other side. Day one what is the bowl of doom?
@NickTShelton3 жыл бұрын
Great to see you starting Patrick! So, “original bowl of doom” is below. Feel free to adjust measurements to what you want. -1 sweet potato (diced or mashed) -6-8 oz. ground beef or bison -1-2 fried eggs -2 strips of bacon -1/4 to 1/2 an avocado -top it off with salsa As you can see, the original is pretty high in fat and if that works with your diet, go for it. I did a “modified version” for a little bit less fat intake and that is here: -1 sweet potato (diced or mashed) -6-8 oz. chicken -250g-300g egg whites -1/4 to 1/2 an avocado -top it off with salsa Still tastes great and helped with my macro balance!

Do I have to workout every day without rest days? And what about when I have to travel for long hours in between?
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
The program requirements are to workout 2x per day, everyday - you determine the intensity of those workouts based on how your body feels.
@tanatom11 Жыл бұрын
@@NickTShelton damn. I have to be mentally prepared for working out twice a day. So, 45 mins walking outside will do for the outdoor workout? And for the diet, I m actually doing intermittent fasting. If I m not wrong, That will also work. Isn’t it?
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
@@tanatom11 you are right on that. A lot of people treat their outdoor workout as a walk, but it’s up to you. Some will do a jog/walk combination or some do a full workout. It all depends on how you feel that day. Intermittent fasting technically works, since the rules of “follow a diet” are open ended. It comes down to integrity of your eating. In other words, I’ve seen guys do intermittent fasting and have a lot of cookies during their feeding window. Is that following a diet? Some could say yes, some could say no. I lean on the side of no since Andy does mention that you shouldn’t be eating junk food in your diet on the program, but following any diet will suffice. I.e. intermittent fasting, counting macros, etc. But again, the dietary component is so open ended, people will always have their own interpretation of it.

Hi, I started 75 Hard 15 days ago but yesterday I completely forgot to take a progress photo but completed all tasks. I’ve done this challenge 5 times now and I don’t want to restart😢, any tips?
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
Set an alarm every day, maybe multiple alarms. Title it ‘progress photo.’ It’s meant to to be hard but that means we have to rise up. Set the alarm, use a sticky note and place it on your bathroom mirror, you got this. Stay up and keep going.

@@NickTShelton hey ! Could you please advice me on something. I'm used to drinking 2 litres of water easily, even 3 at times. No worries at all. But the Gallon began to irritate my stomach. It felt like it was stripping the lining of something, I experienced burning too. I didn't last much longer on that challenge due to the discomfort. What could that of been?

@@danielaevans9331 hey! I’d first check with a doctor for a diagnosis, but there are some variables I’m not aware of. Were you starting early on your intake or did you wait a while before consuming? Spreading out the intake is best. Were you consuming adequate salts in your diet? Too much water can lower electrolytes and create an entire host of issues. Without knowing all the details, I’d say maybe those were part of the issue. Above anything else, I hope you are feeling better and recovered!

@@NickTShelton Hey Nick, thanks for the response! Erm... I'd say my diet was healthy, with enough salt, for sure. I have a feeling it was too much water for my intestines to be honest. I'm not cancelling out 75 hard. I'd defo try again. Commencing Keto next month. Been 10 years since I did it. Old school Keto. No Keto health bars, no nonsense. Just good old protein and fats for me. Have you ever done Keto before and if so, did you do it for long ?
@NickTShelton Жыл бұрын
@@danielaevans9331 Yeah, I'd say you're right about the water. Good question. I do like trying different diets, in case someone comes for a recommendation or just wants to know my experience. I tried keto, but only for about a month. I didn't like it because I felt very depleted when trying to push the intensity in my workouts. I also, didn't love that it gave me that weird taste in my mouth, haha. For people that have autoimmune conditions, I've heard great stories about it clearing many of those results up. For me, I'm not so sure I love it.

Hey, I got a good question.. How can I get 2 workouts in? I work 12hrs a day and I have a new born. With half the day already gone b4 I get home,, how can I workout twice
@NickTShelton3 жыл бұрын
It’s a tough situation, but I would recommend doing your workouts at home to maximize your time and availability to be there for your newborn if something comes up. Something like those workout videos from a few years back like insanity, p90x, etc might be good options to eliminate a commute to and from the gym. Yep, not the most ideal and have to get a little creative, but you can make it happen. Good luck buddy.
