i may suggest a wonderful location in kochi which is few kilometres away from you and is unexplored location if possible visit bolghatty palace hotel which is cheep than taj hotel and is in bolghatty island , there is marina , honey moon cottages which is surrounded by water , bollghatty palace hotel has more heritage than taj hotel as it is the dutch palace converted into hotel and is cheep since it is run by govt of kerala , you also can enjoy golfing . boghatty palace hotel has a 9 hole small golf course which is built by british and is one of the oldest golf course in india if you have time just visit there

Your squishy bread is called IDDILI, a favorite food item throughout INDIA. Normally it's eaten with a veggie gravy called SAMBAR. IDDILI is from rhe same family as DOSAI.

Kerala's major kingdom Tranvancore never ever ruled by any foreign powers. The first war itself Dutch army was fully defeated by Travancore King. Portage's couldn't create any threat to Travancore kingdom any time. Yes mid and northern kerala eventually went under British rule. However Travancore utilized British & Dutch advisors to modernize their country from 17th century onwards. When people visit Kerala they would find own identity of the state. Kerala was part of Tamil kingdom, same people and language until 19th century.

No,portugese and dutch ruled only for very few years,that too only in kochi..not entire kerala At that time the major power of kerala was Travancore kingdom which defeated the dutch in 1741...After that battle,the dutch completely lost their global power Travancore was independent throughout their rule and Defeated all the foreign powers that tried to invade them
