I didn’t know they made 80# braid?? I can watch you guys fish everyday! Same fish it doesn’t matter! Even the smallest fish are cool to me! I suspect there’s a lot of different ways to cook salmon. On a bun with lettuce and mayo!! Is the way I do it!

Eighty pound braid is really heavy and I think you guys can get by with 40-50 lb especially on the smaller river. The salmon burgers looked tasty.

Good video guys. Here’s a glaze for salmon I use a lot and i think it’s pretty tasty. Honey-balsamic glaze 1 1/2 tbs honey 1 1/2 tbs Dion mustard 1 tbs balsamic vinegar 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp garlic salt

I cook pink salmon this way, works good with softer fish, or utilizing frozen salmon. I imagine Chinook are great that way.

Damn you guys are lucking. You guys spent all last summer up there too. I recognize a lot of the places you guys go. We were up there in 2018 on the Kenai for sockeye and it was so much fun we stayed up there for like 3 weeks. Best 3 weeks ever nothing compares to what the Pacific Northwest has to offer in fishing, especially Alaska.

Take sour cream, butter, lemon juice. Melt in pot. Take salmon filet and put in baking dish. Season with salt, pepper. Pour sauce over salmon. Cover with sharp cheddar cheese. 350 for about 30 minutes. Easy and amazing 🎣😍

Releasing jacks is not good, you should never release them, they don't go against your limit and they're bad for the river. Whoever told you it's good luck to release them is dumb, jacks don't count for your adult limit

I caught some Sockeye in the Kasilof and let Custom Seafood in Soldotna Ak process my fish, I mentioned your name for a discount but didn’t get one. I brought 9 Sockeyes to process and the next day I picked them up and they were vacuumed sealed and frozen. I was amazed that 9 fish filled up my 48 quart tote to the rim. Maybe they added more because I mentioned your name but they said you were there like couple weeks ago.

Euhmm ehh 🥶!! Did I hear 80P, Braid? I myself use 12 pound Andies mono on salmon and steelhead. Even My leader's except when bobber fishing then 8 or 10 pound. I've caught 55+ pound salmon, From 10 55# on mono, main line and fluorocarbon leaders.

Never underestimate "cheap" gear. That said, I've also bought a lot of cheap gear that turned out to be trash, especially online. I buy most of my gear from Kmart and discount bins, dollar stores etcetera. I've been fishing for nearly half a century and can tell you that more money doesn't make for a better fisherman. Alaska is an incredible place. I've always wanted to go back and spend more leisure time there as the only time I spent there previously was for work with pretty much no 'off' time. I'm more than a little jealous of you boys with your annual trip.
