This video is my official apartment tour of my all-white, minimalist, Canadian apartment (did I get enough keywords in yet?). I'm super happy with how the space has come together over the past 6 months of us being here, and so I'm excited to show you around and highlight some of my favourite features of the space. I think if you can afford it then enjoy it. I don’t think minimalism includes apartment space. I personally wouldn’t include that into the lifestyle of a minimalist. A minimalist is more of owning less things and not having to worry about having too much stuff. That way if you move you can pick up your life with ease. You got 9 foot ceilings a beautiful kitchen, and a walk-in closet. That’s dope and a luxury and probably helps with your sanity. I say your good if you can afford it. I live in a cramped awkward studio and yeah it gives me a headache sometimes. So i say your good.

To my eyes the layout of your apt. is perfect. I cannot choose what I like best. The closet between the bedroom and bathroom is a great feature. The kitchen area dividing the work area and the living space is a very good feature. One of you could be working in the desk area and the other one could be in the living room viewing a You Tube video without disturbing one another. I like the Ikea standing/sitting desk. I would buy that desk if I did not already have a counter to stand at while using my computer.

Great tour, Katie! Really cool to see the whole space (like that walk-in closet! What?!) Your apartment is bigger than ours (~500 sq/f) and I love that you have a designated area for your desk! Even though our office a short walk away from our apartment, sometimes we do wish we had an extra room or an area to do some work at while at home that isn't the kitchen table. I also love how you've accessorized the space with lots of greenery and some rose gold pieces too - I love that soap dish and desk lamp! Also seeing our print by your desk always makes me happy!

Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't call this minimalism but I like that you showed us real livin not extreme. I like that sectional - does it begin with an F? from Ikea. I think it is like 700 dollars and ilove the versatility though it scored lowly for comfort on some consumer testing. Command hooks might allow you to put up some artwork. Really roomy and fairly modern.

Hi, my husband and I also live in a 750 sq ft apartment. We downsized over the years after having raised a family. So the 750 feels small compared to the 1,800 sq ft condo we moved from last fall. And the 4 bdrm house we'd lived in before that. BUT I love the way you've done your apartment and I'm jealous of your floors. (Our carpet is pale beige and gets dirty constantly 🙄.) I truly love your place and I just think you should have maybe a little more things on the wall but, you know everyone's got their own taste I know you have to use command hooks if you put stuff on the wall .. really your place is cute well thought out and, 750 ft is great for two people I wouldn't go any smaller...

1000 square feet or more is good apartment size for two people. I think your apartment is around 900 square feet. Down sizing lol I guess it depends on the couple because some couples would be cramped in 750 square feet apartment. Here's the rule you can follow if an apartment seems to big, get more furniture to make it look cozy. My apartment in the living room is very big, now if I added more furniture it would look cozy and no longer look so big. I stayed at 528 square feet hotel suite in 2020 it didn't seem too small, had no quest, i didn't have my cats with me. I was by myself, it wasn't too small. I could not see myself living in 528 square feet apartment with my cats and with one other person. Even without one other person that's too small for me and my cats. I really like your apartment but I have seen apartments around 900 square feet that look the same size as your apartment.

Katy you are so pretty and have such a nice personality. I am presently living at my mom's. I had my own place for 20 plus years, only myself, no roommate accept a guinea pig name Butterscotch. My mom was getting older I had no strings attached thought she could use the help. Moved in October 2019 had a great time. I am a big crafter and make jewerly to sell. I do lots of sewing to sell also. I work fulltime. We had planned on a trip to Ireland this spring and our annual Jersey shore vacation of 57 years together last summer when Covid struck. Last March mom started not feeling so great yet her recent physical showed good heal no abnormalities but dr wanted her to loose done weight. Weeks later she was sick. My sister who was POA (news to me) took her for tests at the ER. Week later it was confirmed she had terminal cancer. Ballpark figure of life expectancy was given (only God knows) and she has passed that already but new signs have started since Christmas. In March my sister told my mom she was to move in with them, no choice was given so I am alone again in a BIG house and nothing has been discussed about my living arrangements. So I decided this past week I need to prepare myself for a possible move. But, I do not want to rent again. I want to paint walls even paint a mural on a wall if I can. I have a large drawing my brother drew I very much want to hang but its 25 lbs eith the frame and command strips fo not work it actually needs a molly bolt. A condo is coming up for sale near by that is 750 sq feet so I googled that for a KZbin video and your's came up first.🥰 Answer to your question, no 750 sq ft I'd great for 2 people as long as it is tidy and not junky. You have made the floor plan work great for you. Your bedroom is a nice size. My apartment of 20 years had the same great bedroom size. I love your sectional. I had a 2 seater loveseat that pulled out into a twin bed but was low yo the ground. When I had guests they slept in my double and I slept on the love seat. My apt was known as the largest one bedroom complex in the Northern Va area but the bathroom was do small you would wack your elbows on the sink vanity reaching back for the TP when on the throne. In your video you did not mention the price range or the state/town you lived in. I try to be clutter free too. It is easy to get too much in a place as my idea of curb appeal is seeing something nice on a curb, bringing it home and refinishing it if it is furniture. My apartment was 950 sq ft and to move basically to one room in a house I donated tons to the Habitat Restore. Even antiques are gone. Now if I have to move I will have to buy all unless my mom in her will has items designated to her 3 kids. Anyway, sorry for the novel but I love your apartment. Apparently not everyone uses the same method in measuring square feet. Also a 825 square feet apartment might have better layout than 950 square feet apartment. So layout can sometimes be more important than choosing an apartment based on square feet.
