I will never understand why people hate on Honda's so much... Honda was a serious competitor in F1 and still is in Indy car there are civics at the drag track running low 7's they have some of the highest HP per cylinder engines on the planet. Sochiro Honda was a dreamer and an innovator they said compact family he said coupes and fast yes there are assholes who absolutely ruin honda's but when they are built right they are amazingly cool cars.

Bro. You’re talking about race car Honda’s with completely different engines that are designed for that kind of performance. It’s the ricer kids with straight piped bone stock eco box civics that make their environment friendly car sound like a weed whacker that gives Honda a bad name.
@Not_Hans

1 I agree there are plenty of ruined civics... how ever the k series engines are race derived and it shows.
@AcuRobbie

@@Not_Hans no one hates a k series ahah, they dislike fwd because drifting is popular and people want their rears spinning, and people who go get a honda and the first thing they do is a intake and exhaust on a NA engine are everywhere thinking they are fast and the furious which is annoying. sure some people do Hondas right, but sooo many people do them wrong.

Can you explain
@djtongi
@djtongi 5 жыл бұрын
Correct, i also wrote this, Dustin! the reason NOT to put it on the same line with the FPR is, that the amount of pressure and underpressure is not enough to regulate quick enough caused by the size of the line.... the best result is to put every device like FPR, Gauge, BC on a SEPERATE connector to the manifold. If there are not enough ports, you just have to drill holes in there and put a threaded port in. Maybe @79th Productions should see this!
@SeezSantos
@SeezSantos 5 жыл бұрын
He really needs to see this!! I said the same thing in a previous comment
@GTRNights
@GTRNights 6 жыл бұрын
Don't know if this has been pointed out yet, but your boost gauge is not reading manifold pressure. You should have teed off your boost gauge off the same line you run off the intake manifold going to the boost controller. Pressure buildup in your intake manifold is where you want to be reading it at, because it will be taking into account actual boost pressure AFTER the pressure drop across your intercooler. You definitely need to get it tuned properly though. NEVER rely on someone's e-tune. Being a certified tuner myself, I can assure you that each individual motor is unique and needs a human eye and a dynamometer to really dial it in. You can't just use other people's tunes, e-tunes, "base maps" whatever. I would never trust someone remote to tune a motor, because their screwup can cause catastrophic engine damage. Plus, their tune may have been set at 70 degrees with 50% humidity at sea level and be completely different than the atmospheric conditions you're driving in. (I'm near Denver so I'm a mile up!) I really don't think you're going to be able to run more than about 5 psi considering the small injectors, but a B series dohc with just 5 pounds and a strong clutch will run really well and be really fun. Just don't overlook the clutch. An old worn out clutch will rob you of so much power. If you can't put the power to the wheels, all this work is pointless. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Keep up the hard work.

I bought a $400 eBay turbo kit and made 412 whp with it on a stock B18B1 bottom end with a built PR4 head (non-VTEC). However, I would never have used those cheap eBay fuel injectors. I ran a set of DSM 450s for a long time before I got greedy and wanted more boost. I put a set of Bosch 630cc injectors in it, then FID 1000cc injectors, and now I have a set of Grams 2200cc injectors in it. It made 588 whp on 22 psi with a Garrett GT3582R dual ball bearing turbo. I am close to $20k into my $1500 Civic by now...lmao

I love this channel so much. You’re doing an awesome job. One thing I noticed is it looks like your valve cover breather is going into your intake plenum from the factory, I’m not sure if in the next episode you dealt with it but unless there’s a check valve in the valve cover you should route the breather in front of the turbo now so you’re not pressurizing your crank case when you go on boost. Can’t wait to see more from your channel man, it’s so good and makes me want a Honda really bad!!

People hate Civic because they're better cars than their Ford Focus, Chrysler 200s or whatever crap they buy because the interiors are "nice".

I had a 2003 ford focus svt that would eat most civics up remember most civics are built by ricers not tuners and the vtech is only good with boost the focus ztech is good out the factory and comes mated to the 6 speed manual transmission for better acceleration where as the civic vtech came with either the 5 speed manual or the automatic boost a focus and boost a civic the focus will still beat it that is a car not shown much in the tuner world because the bad rep ford has

@@stevenweaver7976 Oh yeah you're right... Your 2.3 liter Focus is eating the 1.5 to 1.8 Civics for luncheon... (Let's not even mention the 2.0 Type R which by the way made records on Nürburgring, thing that the 2.3 AWD Focus RS couldn't achieve). Ever heard of SPOON Civics? They're not even Type R Civics so according to you you eat those too with your Focus, right?

I also said most civics I never said all civics you are correct the type R is not a machine to be forgotten nor are the civics equipped with the spoon engine which undoubtedly will beat the focus I was referring to the vtech that ricers believe to be the best remember i did say most civics there is one type R here that even with my focus running the Audi A4 turbo at 6pounds of boost had a hard time competing with it I know the type R has an amazing setup and the spoon engine in a civic is one that my focus will have a challenge on its hands that is what I want is a civic with the spoon engine
