The gemini 105 is a BEAST!!! Centerboards, low draft, easy to maneuver... if you don't mind the small living area, its the perfect cat to explore around reefs or islands. Probably the best hull ever for the spanish main.

Never considered the Gemini as anything more than a coastal sailer, but watching this has changed my opinion entirely. I am very impressed with how the Gemini handled the conditions and will happily consider looking at one for my next purchase, big enough for myself and my long time sailing pal with the added bonus of telling the wives, not enough room for four people on a long trip, I know thats a big lie, but they won't.

Only thing they are missing is one or 2 micro wind turbines in those winds they would have had full batts and had music and tv going to keep everyone happy and give them something else to do saves tons on fuel to have power! Geat vids like how you show so much and i have been watching lots of Catamaran vids and after seeing these i really now know my next boat will be a cat for sure with how stable it is even in those kinds of seas. Great vid keep making them like seeing them. Thanks for letting us all see them.

So, I am planning on retirement (4 yr.) and caught the sailing bug, much to my wife's horror. She has been saying from the start that she is terrified of healing over. I explained the physics, and she is a very smart person but scares her non-the-less. She saw her first Gemini and remarked, "I like that." So, "any boat the wife is on, is the the best boat for you" I say. Coastal cruising though. Thanks for the video. On passage, where is the best place to sleep?

Please tell me more about this trip. Did you ever have to sail upwind on the crossing ? What problems did you encounter offshore on the Gemini cat ? Did anything break ?
