Really, I feel the hate it's getting, while expected, is blown out of proportion. I think it's a perfectly fine game that got over-hyped in it's marketing. Ubisoft's reputation, the editions and pricing of this game, and so on really helped lead to the hate this game is receiving, though I'm certain it'll still sell well, like most Ubisoft games. It is Star Wars, afterall.

You know how people are if a game gets a 7 or below they consider it trash then other people who never played it start hating it and giving it bad reviews even though they never played it. 7 is a great score. 10 is 1 a year if that. Same with 9. 9 and 10 are GOTY. Most good and great games are 7-8. It isn't just trash or a masterpiece. There is in-between

It’s a shame this game is, until possible patches, stuck in the Sarlacc Pit of mediocrity as despite turning me to the dark side with its shonky stealth and combat I’ve had a decent amount of fun progressing through the campaign, doing a few side missions and exploring the planets. So I, for one, am not here to criticise the game as it’s clearly getting enough of that pretty much everywhere. I’m merely content to continue playing until Astrobot takes over my life temporarily on Friday. Overall I’d probably agree with a 6/10 right now as there’s too many flaws to outshine the good but it’s far from the worst game I’ve played this year. I guess I’m just too old to let it bother me …
