This video is just... perfection. It has brought up a beautiful memory of mine. As a 15 yold Spaniard my parents gave me the opportunity to go on a Summer Camp to Georgian Bay, particularly the region you did this trip in. Part of it was a two weeks canoeing trip surviving in the stunning Ontario wilderness, just as you did, using even the same blue canoe barrels 😄. I have done camping back home here in the north of Spain since, but nothing is quite like Canada. The tough and exciting portages, the rocky side of the lakes, the wildlife and forests, the bonfires (prohibited here) and using a canoe as your way of transport, I cannot describe how unique that is, how lucky you Canadians are for the land you inhabit. Being able to relive this experience from 7 years ago through your video... I will forever appreciate it, liked and saved forever. Thank you very much!

I have Kayak six times in Quetico Park the first time I was 16 years old and then the sixth time I was 68 I still want to go back at 76. You are so lucky to be able to do what you’re doing. I love your way to enjoy the solitude far away from all busy and hectic urban life! The landscape, rivers and lakes are very much a like as here in Sweden up north, but Canada is so amazing in every way and in my youth I was keen on reading about the first nation Algonquin people and I imagine how it was to live outdoors in the pristine wilderness and your KZbin channel showing so beautiful and unique wilderness landscapes and the water ways are probably used by the ancient indians as well! I wonder if you have seen any signs from past when you are moving along the rivers and staying at the seashores of the beautiful lakes! And you are so good fisherman too! Yessss... my neck of the woods. I swear this area (Temagami, Ontario) is one of the planet's hidden treasures when it comes to wilderness at its finest. The gf and I went camping on Red Squirrel lake a few weeks ago and it was simply amazing. With gas prices so high lately we were literally the only humans out there, except for the 2 friendly conservation officers who popped by our makeshift campsite to say hello on our last evening there. I live in Temiskaming Shores but I frequent the backwoods/old growth forests of Temagami most summer long. I'm an avid hiker and forager of wild herbs, berries & medicinal mushrooms.

What's easy to forget is that he has to stage each one of these shots with camera set-up and then retrieval, so that what looks like an uninterrupted flow is really punctuated by constant film-making decisions, choices and actions. And editing back home. For me, that would ruin the whole thing, but obviously not for him. PS his physical strength and stamina are very impressive.
