Joe. Just found your channel. Awesome stuff Sir. Been watching several of your vids. You got me so psyched up to go fishing I can't stand it. Tonight I had a nice thick Tuna steak and got out my camping gear to cook in my kitchen while I'm watching. I get the goose bumps every time I hear those Loon's calling. Reminds me of my childhood in the great white North. Thanks for sharing your little slice of heaven.

Mate your channel is exploding. Ive been here a fair while now and you are honestly one of those people who just DESERVE the success. There's no bullshit, no pandering, no stupid shit from you. You just stick to your thing, do it well and that keeps the audience. Solid work mate, keep going. Also one day you should set up a travel project and camp in another country!

This is KZbin at its best; this guy has tremendous outdoor skills - to the point where he makes it all look easy. More importantly though - he has an innate artistic talent - an ability to translate his experience and the beauty of his surroundings to the camera and - ultimately - to the viewer.

Go and do it now bud for tomorrow never comes and one day you'll look back and it will be too late !! Just escape to your garden somewhere local as your time is limited to do a trip like this. I'm the same and would love to do trips like that but couldn't because I couldnt promise I'd come back to work 🤘 We can't openly free camp in the UK so you have to be extra stealthy.

There's MOST LIKELY a bunch of us! Ive been trying.. & I CAN now say- sucessfully "getting a monkey off my back" (MORE like a gorilla! FOR YEARS! ) Luckily I have no kids & I want/NEED to get into a Hobby..Thanks to Joe, Sean, & a few other KZbinrs Im willing & wanting to get into- Bushcraft, Hiking, Camping, & also building a Bug-Out Bag (shit why not!) On my Ma's side my Grandfather & Uncle are AVID Outdoorsman Hunter/Fisherman so its in the blood! As a youngin I was surrounded by Rifles on Gun Racks, Deer Wall-Mounts, Black Bear Rugs, etc etc! 😆 & my Father wasnt really in the picture for me either (but hes NOT into the lifestyle AT ALL anywayz) I went on a few day Camping/Fishing Trip w/ my Uncle, as a youngin in the Delaware Water Gap & loved it! & used to sleep out in my Tent in the ol backyard all the time as a kid.. Long story shorter- Joe Robinet is a F'N great dude & an inspiration/awesome guy to learn from as a newbie + Ive been getting in PLENTY of Gear advice with my pen & notebook- while watching the Videos! Keep em coming Joe- thanks man & I HOPE KZbin IS taking care of ya!

Nice video Joe. I'm a newbie to the survival/bushcraft channels. I love it especially J. Robinet's style videos. I've done many camping trips with my dog but that was 17-20yrs ago. I've been pretty depressed and watching these videos with the many types of surviving and bushcrafting techniques has woke me up. I'm out of shape but I'm inspired to get up to work towards living again! Bam! Thanks Joe!

Once (and hopefully God willing even more) in my lifetime I want to go on weekend adventure to Woodland Caribou park and experience as much as I can of it. The scenery is just absolutely breathtaking. I picture myself just sitting in my canoe as the sun sets or rises and journaling, fishing or just taking it all in. One thing I know is if you want to see some incredible sights, Canada is where it’s at. Another great adventure so far Joe. :)

Just a want to be ! I am poor to and its taken ne.. Almost five year now to get the gear I need to do it. Had to find a old canoe. With a small hole in it. And fix it up and redo it myself over time. And buy a piece of gear here and a piece of gear there over the five-year. But I finally got to this point to be able to do it. And now I'm not only am I going to do this. I'm going to take it a step further. And I'm actually going to live this way. Me my dog and my gear are moving away from society. Permanently not to ever return. For any supplies or nothing. Dearness five-year. I have also been studying the wild very extensively. Training my dog. Which is a lab Redbone mix for hunting and retrieving game. I've gotten sustainability gear during that five-year time frame some of it home made. And have tested it extensively so I know that it will work. And I am leaving this summer 2018. Maybe someday somebody will find my dead corpse in the woods. Or maybe the animals won't eat it. I do t care. My family knows I'm going to do this. I'm not giving them a choice. And they have accepted it. And soon I will be gone

Joe huge fan! Hey I just need to say something. Next time you cook a fish out there try slicing the lemon and and grab a handful of pine needles... bring some salt and pepper. Lightly salt and pepper the fish, then in your tinfoil make a bed of pine needles, and then lay a couple slices of lemon down atop it. Now lay the fish on top of the lemon and pine needles. Chop the rest of the lemon as best you can and throw it on top. Now seal the tinfoil such that there is a gap between the top of the tinfoil and the fish (a pocket of air if you will). Make sure the tinfoil isn't touching the fish and you wont need any lard or butter. Just my two cents! Guna head out fishing tomorrow down here in the Bear tooth's in MT. Wish me luck!

Espen Thorn Hansen I love the outdoors but here in the USA it can be hard to find a place to do this stuff, I live in California and camping out like that and fishing like that needs a permit of some kind, i camp out and start fires illegally everytime i camp out!
@espenthornhansen9944
@espenthornhansen9944 7 жыл бұрын
You should travel to Norway then. Here there are lots of wilderness you can camp in, you do need to buy a fishing license but its really cheap. There are restrictions to where and when you can make a fire. But in winter you can make a fire anywhere, and its not hard to find a fire pit to make a fire in during summer.

Did anyone see the jumping bird in the background at 4:11? It looks like it can’t dive under the water like it’s too buoyant! Hilarious!

KZbin is better than TV. He gets more views on youtube then he will On TV and plus he gets paid triple the amount on youtube than he would on TV. TV is slowly dying. They said by 2021 they're going to shut down cable TV

Joe! You need to come to Texas! You might like Big Bend, Davis Mountains, Palo Duro Canyon, and pretty much anything in the Hill Country.

I liked your vid. I was quite perplexed by the way you handled or should I say mishandled those fish? In a couple of instances you removed a lot of slime off the fish's body. May I suggest from now on you invest in a pair of lip grips or a net? When the slime is removed from a fish, it makes it more difficult to avoid being caught by other fish and it takes a long time to replenish the slime on their bodies.

Michael Halpin He even sounds like him. Joe on the other hand....... I've been trying to figure out who he reminds me of. Something in the way he moves and walks in the more distant shots that has always bugged me because I couldn't figure it out. Finally, today to occurred to me. Gilligan!! Lol. Not in the face.... But just his mannerisms.

You really did a great job on this video. I live in Manitoba and there are some routes into Woodland Caribou from Nopiming Park where I do most of my canoe trips. It would be a greater undertaking than any trip I've done before, might need to train up a little before attempting. I am curious if you have a map of the route you took you could post or email. Obviously my point of entry would be the southwest corner.
