After 2 months of watching this guy's videos and applying his advice, my hair has improved immensely. My hair has been short since high school. When everything shut down during covid, I started growing it out. My hairstylist, who had been doing my hair for 20 years, also wasn't available anymore. It was growing, and I was getting more disappointed. Today, my hair is halfway down my back and looks healthier at 67 than when I was in high school. My advice...listen to this guy. I'm so glad I found his channel. It makes me want to travel to his salon in Florida.

For over a year, I've done the trinity routine with mostly recommended products for my medium hair (but using Olaplex conditioner I already had), and my hair improved tremendously! But last week I tried Dove Intensive Repair shampoo and conditioner, and was blown away by how much better my hair looked, and it stayed clean a day or two longer than usual. I have never even liked a single Dove product my entire life, so I am shocked. I think AbbeyYung said that Dove scientists spent a long time developing these products, and they contain some unique peptides. The Bond Strength line has an extra peptide that's supposed to be even better, but it was sold out, none on the shelves.

It's crazy how vanity can motivate us to make way healthier decisions, like how you said being properly nourished and not starving yourself will help your hair grow. That may genuinely take some women out of a disordered eating mindset. Similarly, during the pandemic my drinking habits escalated to an unhealthy amount. My doctor told me a ton of negative ways it could be affecting my health but I kind of brushed it off. I'm ashamed to admit that it wasn't until my dermatologist told me my drinking could be affecting my skin that I was like HOLD UP NOW 😰. I cut wayyy down IMMEDIATELY, no problem. Now, two years later, I almost never consume alcohol (I allow myself if I want to, but the want isn't really there anymore), and it's had a pretty positive impact on my overall health. My skin looks great too! Lol. It's sad, but some women won't really care to change bad habits until you tell them it's affecting their appearance, and I was one of them.

The only man I take hair care advice from ❤ I know a lot of people balk at the price of good hair care and try to stubbornly find products on their own that are cheaper but just as good but think about it logically for a sec... buying 5 bottles of shampoo at $7 dollars a piece only to find either 1. It damages your hair further or 2. You waste it by throwing it away. A $30 bottle of shampoo feels a bit like companies are gatekeeping the good stuff to sell to the rich (that IS rather annoying but makes sense as a business 🤷🏼♀️) BUT if you are shampooing the way youre supposed to (2-3 days a week) and not gobbing on the product, then that $30 will last you for MONTHS.

Thank you for saying that concerning weight loss drugs. Hair loss/ telogen effluvium caused by illness or too strict a diet can wreck your hair and it's concerning now I'm seeing all these videos even with health professionals pushing the stuff. You can't eat very little and expect to have great hair, the body prioritises the organs first to keep you living and hair is last on the list to get nutrients and this will soon be evident with a very low calorie diet. Remember to feed your hair and be sure to get enough iron, if your ferritin levels are too low, this can cause hair loss, a basic iron blood test won't show if ferritin is low and this is the crucial one for hair.

I have always had bangs and they get oily after one day because of my face. I would try using Not Your Mother’s dry shampoo and it felt worse. I recently started washing every third day and using the Living Proof dry shampoo and it is making a big difference. My hair is usually about six inches past my waist and my ends get too dry, so it helps putting Olaplex oil on my ends daily. My issue is when I’m sweating from exercise. I’ve used a co-wash in the past but I’m going to do a conditioner rinse with my Redken conditioner on the days I don’t shampoo. I’m 50 and have always had long hair, and it does change with age so my routine needed to change. I appreciate all the advice from this channel. P.S. The Wet Brush is awesome!

@ I find for my hair, I don’t need it the day after I wash it but the second day I do. I found advice in one of their other videos to make some parts on the top of the scalp and spray, then do it in the back. I only spray on the roots. Let it sit for a couple of minutes then work it in. I have dark hair and I don’t see a bunch of white residue like I did with the other dry shampoo. Also, if I notice my forehead getting oily I use a cotton pad with micellar water to wipe my forehead. I don’t wear makeup every day but when I do, I use just a little powder to help control the oil. :)

For really damaged hair we recommend the Redken Acidic Bonding Pre-Shampoo treatment. Just wet your hair. Apply it generously to any area that’s damaged and leave it on for ten minutes. Rinse it off and shampoo like normal. Then use a mask instead of conditioner for your mids/ends…Then rinse and style as usual. Do this once weekly for about 6 weeks. You will see and feel a huge difference even after the first wash! 🥰

Remember that no products will get you a healthy hair if your diet isn't balanced! Diet has a huge impact on you hair, skin and nails. Your organism priorities your heart and other important organs so if you have any deficiencies or hormonal imbalances, the first thing that might get worse is you hair. So eat well, move your body and take care of your hair :D Oh and also be patient because it actually can take months to see progress! Taking pictures to compare is a great idea, because after 2 months maybe you can think that there is no difference, but when you look at photos you will see it clearly.
