Moses Itauma is very powerful (1/2 of his amateur bouts are KO), extremely quick and athletic, I see him as the next best heavyweight. He has amazing footwork, can be proactive and reactive very well, he can time the lead cross and jab which his athleticism and speed help. I think he's the next-best heavyweight of the next generation. He's only 19 and has taken a massive step up in his next fight, if he wins, he's 1-2 fights away from a title shot. Finally, someone talks about Viddal Riley as a great prospect. Pat McCormack I think is a great prospect as well who is well on his way to become champ.

An honorable mention might go to Shabaz Masoud. We might see him, in his coming fights put behind himself his previous inactivity and lack of strong opponents on his resume. The IBF have just placed him at #4, behind #3 Tapales. #2 is vacant, and #1 Sam Goodman fights Inoue next... Looks like the IBF are lining up a championship eliminator between Masoud and Tapales. If Masoud can get past Tapales and become Champ and develop his skills and a little more power defending his belt there, I think he could establish himself as a very well rounded and accomplished fighter. His calm and measured attitude, talk and demeanor outside the ring is completely the opposite of many previous Brit stars', but he seems to have some endearing personal qualities that could win him a lot of fans and admirers - IF only...

@Pj_OracleАй бұрын
@@BoxingLife Right now, though, again more IFs, IF McCann beats McGrail out in Riyadh next month, I reckon there might be given the chance to fight Akhmadaliev in Riyadh in April/May. I suspect, from how Liam Davies was talking before getting bested by Masoud, that Frank Warren might have been lining up that MJ fight for him in Riyadh, with the possibility of the winner going on to fight Inoue in August/September, in Riyadh. Inoue's manager-promoter, Ohashi, had been reported a few weeks ago, in Japan, saying that he was lining up a fight in Riyadh after Vegas. And back when Inoue beat Tapales to become Undisputed Champ, the Saudis had talked with Ohashi about an MJ fight in Riyadh, September '24, for big money. Only the plan fell through, presumably, when Riyadh Season September went to the AJ-Dubios fight at Wembley Stadium instead. With Inoue becoming brand ambassador for the Riyadh Season, and with MJ not being a particularly big-draw lucrative fight even in Japan, a ppv headlining event in Riyadh should help Inoue become a global ppv star and fulfill his obligations nicely with Turki for a year or two also. Supposing McCann rises to the occasion beats MJ and gets a shot at Inoue, even if he were to fall on his sword, he reckon he'd really become a big-draw name with his fan-friendly fighting style and personality. Obviously, if he were to beat Inoue, he'd instantly become a legend and future hall-of-famer. Lol
@CG20132Ай бұрын
He's wasted a hell a lot of time he could have used to develop. I question his discipline as well. Lots of talent tho. Needs a coach whos gonna help him not get hit while picking his shots with more power.
@Pj_OracleАй бұрын
@CG20132 Seems he couldn't have been totally committed to his boxing career earlier bc he studying for a degree. Now that he's made up his mind to commit himself to boxing and got himself the backing of Matchroom, Ben Davison, and proper S&C coaching we should see these improvements coming through, I reckon, though it's come a bit late in his career. He's got a supportive family and community around him that could make all the difference too. The Sanmartin fight could mark the big turning point in his career. He needs to use his intelligence to start afresh with the focus and discipline needed to actualise the potential he undoubtedly has, imo

Liam Davies seemed to be getting lined up for a fight in Riyadh and alluded to a possibility of getting a crack at Inoue too. Now that Shabaz Masoud has taken those possibilities from him, could Frank Warren give Dennis McCann those opportunities in Davies' place?? Inoue's WBA mandatory Akhmadaliev's mandatory position is still in place as the WBA have made him Interim Champ. This will allow him to make 12-round Championship defences to shake off a year's ring-rust, and bring him back up to par for his big Inoue showdown. All that nonsense leading up to threats of litigation has vanished, and in its wake MJ's fight on December 14th in Monaco was announced, soon after Inoue vs WBO-IBF mandatory Goodman on December 24th was announced. Probably just Eddie Hearn's way of building up to a big lucrative eventual showdown with his man. Smoke and mirrors.. Inoue's manager-promoter Ohashi was quoted in Japan media quite recently saying he was looking to make a fight out "in the Middle East" after the April/May Vegas fight. Inoue has stated that he's on another three-fight schedule for '25. Inoue-Nakatani really has to be at the Tokyo Dome in December '25, which leaves a potential fight slot in August/September. Right after Inoue became Undisputed Champ after beating Tapales, the Saudis offered Ohashi a big money deal for a an Inoue-MJ fight. Soon after, Ohashi announced a potential fight slot for Inoue vs MJ in Riyadh for September '24. However, in the end, Riyadh Season September '24 went to Wembley Stadium for the AJ-DUBIOS card instead. So now, I reckon there's a good chance we might see the new ambassador for Riyadh Season, Inoue, fight MJ in Riyadh, in August/September '25 instead. So long as MJ gets past WBA #11 Espinoza-Franco next month, Eddie Hearn, Frank Warren and Turki may well be lining him up for a Riyadh Season April/May fight (coinciding with the start of the Queenberry-DAZN partnership) against WBO#3 McCann. And IF McCann can pull off the massive upset vs MJ, HE would go on to fight Inoue. And if he were to lose to Inoue that fight, he would earn himself a huge paycheck and his stock would still go up massively. On the other hand, if were to pull off the upset of the decade, McCann would go down as the Monster slayer and guarantee himself as a legend and future Hall-of-Famer. He'd also stand to become a very wealthy man and huge celebrity back home... More IFs... Lol Edit: Failing McCann getting the MJ fight, could Eddie Hearn get Turki interested in making an in-house MJ vs Shabaz Masoud even? Lol
