8 Gen Honda Civic (2006-2011) - Common Problems. What to look for when bying a used one?

My 08 has 165k and is still like new. Perfectly maintained, even transmission drain and fills every ~35k miles. Hope it lasts another 10 to 15 years. Only thing it's needed is new A/C compressor and new starter around 10 years old (6 years ago).

My 2011 civic coupe is exhibiting vibration and I had it in for maintenance. I've been taking it to the dealer where I bought it new for the last 13 years. They have become very expensive. For instance, evidently the vibration is due to the passenger side motor mount . The cost of replacing it at the dealer is around 800 bucks. In your video you said thia repair costs at most 320 bucks. I wish that was the case . I paid 400 bucks for the part alone upfront so I will have to go through with it. Anyway, I don't know of any other reliable shops in my area.

My guy replaced all my mounts for 1200.00

Personally I would avoid the 2006-2008 models. 2009-2011 seemed to be alright

@HOT_NEWS24 Those years had the engine block crack due to bad casting. Most of them should have been fixed however i would avoid just to be safe

@@johnr9907yup wish I had known this sooner. It happened to my 06 Civic Sedan. Was about $1500 to get a new engine in with labor included. Doesn’t seem like much but I was struggling with money back then as I was still in college and only working part time.
