It all comes down to calories at the end of the day. Stop eating out because resturant food will always be high in calories. Craving a burger? Make a turkey burger at home. Craving pizza? Get some cauliflower crust and fat free mozzarella and make it at home. You don't have to be strict. Just be smart and strategic about it

I just watched this video because it showed up in my feed, and I found it so surprisingly informative and helpful. Everything said was so true. I need boundaries/‘learn to say no” in life, which I know will lead to changes in other areas of my life, including eating…TY ❤

Love your vids. Just to clarify, Gabor Mate is not a psychologist. He's a regular doctor, like a GP. He just had decades of experience working with people and noticed the link between emotions and illness. That sent him down a path of investigation of trying to understand how emotions can effect the body to create better outcomes for his patients. 30 years later he's a leading emotional trauma expert.

The self sabotage factor is one of the hardest and deepest “issues” I have ever dealt with bc it’s so hard to break out of it. When I fight my urges then end up binging or doing anything that’s not coherent with my goals, I get sooo confused and ask myself why tf I keep doing this stuff then complain I don’t achieve my goals… it feels like being trapped in a maze. I could be wrong but I feel like self sabotaging behavior takes root in the subconscious mind which makes it very difficult to live a day without doing some sort of thing that ruins my progress 😢
@ferielrebah9207
@ferielrebah9207 Жыл бұрын
In short, I’m addicted to self sabotage bc Although I’m self aware each time I’m doing it, I’ll just keep doing it. It harms me and gives me no satisfaction.Actually, I think it possibly gives me the satisfaction of confirming what my limiting beliefs told me.

Love you stuff bro. This one is... amazing. I think the last point really hit home for a lot of people. I started my journey 3 years ago, October 2020, by journey I mean being properly serious about getting in shape. I started at 140kgs (around 305lbs), as of today I'm 97kgs (around 213lbs). The goal is to get around 88kgs. What I struggle with the most is consistent dieting. I workout 5-6 days a week, some days heavy and some days light, but on average I burn between 2800-3000 calories a day.

So so good man! 👏🏼 I can totally relate to all of that. I spent the last 30 years being ‘chubby’ with no boundaries!…. Then back in feb 23 my head was ready to make the change, dropped all upf foods, strength training 3-4 times a week (following your very own minimalist routine) & I’ve lost 28lb & the V taper is taking shape. Thank you for your honest words & depth no bs videos 👍🏼

I think you are spot on with these and I think it is both honest and brave to put this out there.... However I dislike that term emotional eating. Just think about this situation: someone is going shopping and before they leave they ask if there's anything you would like. Like being a feeling or emotion. If you reply without emotion to that it would have to be something like: I need 3 pound of groceries, 10% protein, 10% fat and the remaining 80% should be slow release carbohydrates. Legumes and coliflower are in season. See you later. Food is emotional!😊

You can have a day or two without limits (or less limit) but the frequency of those days is a factor. Also large calories items in limit with low calorie/no calorie nutrients makes a major impact. Have cookies and rutabaga instead of cookies and bread.

I noticed my emotional eating 2 months ago and Im trying to fix it as best as I can. But its beeb really hard. I would eat like 5 meals a day if Im really stressed out. My stresses and anxiety would melt away if I just have to eat whatever I want. If I try to resist the urge of overeating, my anxiety would skyrocket and I couldnt do anything anymore. Ive been trying to fix it by finding other activities that I enjoy to replace it. But there were still times I couldnt resist. It felt like something just tookover me and automatically happened. I cry sometimes because I felt I couldnt have control over myself.

I snack a lot less when I only eat dinner(still less than my daily maintenance by a ton) A big dinner I don’t want to eat I’m only thirsty for water for hours. I only eat something I make. I eat a lot less to save time cooking. I lost and kept off everything I loose 11:18 I found my moment talking with parents on a visit. Took years of deconstructing childhood situations, and it really was just one careless comment acting as mortar, a net, holding all these events together, the sieve that didn’t let the last bit of bigger things through. This is your killer but to get to it you have to give yourself control first like the video says and these simple tips are the best start.
