3rd times making the green tea sponge cake from the recipes. Followed exactly all the instructions, the matcha cake become gooey and flat. Something wrong with the matcha cake recipes. But the vanilla sponge cake turn beautifully. So, if you want to make the matcha cake part. Use different recipes but not this one

A good piece of advice would be to double the amount of frosting and chocolate drip you make. I normally don’t like much frosting, but I found it very hard to even finish the crumb coat with one batch. Same with the drip; you have to stretch tour reserves very far Another tip! Handle the drip right away. It might not look ready, but it’s best if you work with it before it cools.

Hi, I just tried your recipe. It turned out delicious 🤤. Although I still bake only the cake, without the filling like in this video. Btw I skip honey cos I don't have it, and I reduced the amount of sugar:75gr so elderly can eat it. And I added corn starch 5gr (reduce cake flour become 90gr). I love this recipe, it's easy for beginners like me to bake the cake 🙏

i'm here to see how you get such a good matcha flavor out of your cake. my mom made a matcha green tea swiss roll and it turned out really good and tasted really good, but there was no matcha flavor! she had put in lots of matcha but there was no flavor :( i love your videos 사랑해 !

Matcha has a light flavor. Some brands are better than others though. The imperial grade has the best taste but it's very expensive.

Baking powder is not necessary for sponge cake. The brand doesn't matter, it's a simple product, any brand will do. Same for the gelatin.
