I love all these! I just had my first acupuncture recently and really loved how it made me feel. My favorite luxuries are my oxygen therapy exercise equipment, sound baths and epsom soaks. I'd really like to try one of those epsom salt float pod devices or an infrared sauna.

Happy you said that about the pilates instructing vs physical therapy as I’m a PT myself. Ppl don’t see it, the times I have athletic trainer telling me we do the same thing… really? the schooling I had to go thru? Same? Lol yet ppl might be more willing to pay for pilates instructor/personal trainer than PT unless they are hurt because mostly they are more motivated to look better and defined.

I’m so sorry to hear about your Pilates experience. A good studio would require perhaps 10 private one-on-one sessions with an instructor first before they have you join a group class. And as I’m sure you figured out the hard way you want someone who’s going to have a background in kinesiology or is a former dancer and goes slowly. Who does not push you to do anything. Staying in a functional range of motion is safest.

Im in medical school and I agree that a longer appointment is important and ideal. You really need to know the patient. We’re suppose to learn how to take a full history (that’s present, past, social, family + vital signs & review of system) in under 15-30 minutes. I know it has to do with the number of doctors and staff to patients. So, im glad you found a doctor that works for you

I can recommend both Bared Footwear and Frankie4 (both designed by Australian Podiatrists). I also do clinical pilates with a Physio and much prefer that over Reformer pilates classes at a studio.

Thanks for the video! I for one, would LOVE to hear your thoughts & hear you talk about your experience in seeing an Integrative Medicine specialist, because of disillusionment w/ your GP (or Western medicine, in general). I'm going through something that I imagine is similar, so it would be really interesting & helpful to me, to hear you speak on that. 😊

Hi Caitlin, thats was an amazing video, 🙌🙌🙌you have no idea , but almost everything you said, well you definitely speak my language 😜 I dont care for Pelaton, because at 14 i did professional cycling , for 6 months. I was very good in it. My coach was chasing me, wanted to make some athlete, but when i looked at my skinny legs, and saw my calves, i cried, the muscle was so big, like my brothers calves😂😂😂 So that was it. But i grew up in Eastern Europe, in Baltics, in a very active family, well my father was putting me under cold shower at 2 , and all that Russian Sauna, and swimming in ice water, with icebergs. I also was doing push ups and abs, since 4, so yes i always was very fit. When i came to US, i became personal trainer, so i learned how to get all those six packs🤪😜😝 But a lot have to do with food. You can train until you blue, but you will not get that real muscle definition, if your diet/ eating habits are not on point. I love palates. I always loved ballet. Unfortunately, under communism, we didnt have like recreational sports activities. We only had everything for competition, real sports. So i always wanted to learn ballet. So the closest i came to it, its gyrotonics . Its similar to Pilates, but much more deeper. Its like a ballet dance using equipments. In my new home, i am going to get all 4 equipments. It was created by famous Russian ballet dancer, when he became injured, but needed to keep up the training. Its funny, how all these therapies now used only by professionals. My grandparents and parents did cupping on us, when we were little. It was unusual, for every cold, fever, to run to ER and get pumped with antibiotics. Even for pneumonia, cupping is an answer. You know even doctors, those days wasnt rushing to give kids antibiotics. My doctor always said , that give raspberry tea, and different medicinal herbs… i drank kombucha, like now a days kids drink coke and sugary juice which was made by , my grandfather Acupuncture is amazing with injuries, stress even cold. But i probably mention to you before, the arnica complex injections, its on another level, when it comes to injuries/ inflammation. I agree western médecin , oh boy what we went through with my husband, when he had Pulmonori emboli, and became paralyzed i . Mean i tell everyone, if you have to go to the hospital, make sure that you have someone with you, and the person must question and approve every their move. I can tell so many horror stories😱😡🤪😂 I stopped so called doctors, which interesting term - you never hear that doctor is healing. He is practicing. So ok athletes practice and then they play…. so when do they start healing? So my psychology is, if they are still practicing/ trying/ experimenting, i need to have say in it. And dont even start me, with the word i love to use, to most medical staff-desensitize Have a blessed day🙏🧡

I weighed 48 kilos most my life and got up to 60 kg at one point a couple years ago. But I actually liked having a bit of a belly instead of it being concave. I felt more womanly instead of having the body of a 12 year old. I would force myself to eat at least 5 slices of bread a day to gain weight. I'm 55 kg now and I think that's a good weight for me. I would rather gain a few kilos than lose them!

My sister is a Personal trainer who actually studied health and fitness at university and later went on to study nutrition. She has at least 3 people come in with issues after going to PTs who pushed them to hard. Also the amount of people she had get issues after going on fad diets is crazy. Definitely quick fixes don’t work, always get someone who’s well trained in whatever you’re doing

Best way to learn how to tighten your pelvis and lower ab area, talk to a fit mom. Postpartum exercises are no joke and with the right exercises and direction you’ll see amazing results with just low impact workouts.

I really wanted the peloton but couldn’t let go of the price and on top of that, the monthly subscription. I instead went with a $500 echelon bike and I follow this KZbinr Kaleigh Cohen cycling. She’s amazing and I love her rides. A “luxury” item I bought that has changed my life for the better, Zojirushi, Made in Japan Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker, 5.5-Cup. Best investment I’ve ever done. Makes meal prepping a breeze, as all I eat is rice and chicken or beef.

Orthotics changed my life too 🥹 I used to only wear ballet flats and heels since I was young till my mid-20s. Eg, I travelled around Europe for 4 months and walked 25k steps daily in ballerinas. My right foot started hurting so badly out of the blue and never seemed to get better. Now I live 98% of the time in sneakers and orthotics, even to work On the another note, I have a distant acquaintance who is a certified chiropractor. She went on a 3-4 days course (or maybe a week) on treating pregnant women. After that short course, she came back certified to treat pregnant women and advertised heavily on that $350-400 for a health consultation is not expensive considering many people spend a lot more on their iPhones, doing their hair (hair treatment, scalp treatment, dyeing hair, digital perms), fancy cars, regular facials, clothing hauls, designer goods etc. Spending the most on health and wellbeing (instead of material goods) should be the norm
