🍎 So true! The apples of our cheeks are NOT in the same place in our 40s as they are in our teens! I turned 50 this summer, and blush placement has most definitely changed, LOL! Getting older is great because the alternative would suck...we simply need to adapt a bit as we go. Makeup is like art for your face. In this sense, the "canvas" is changing. That's all! I think we can handle that...nothing to fear! 🙏💜

I've got oily skin in spite of of having mature skin (54 years old), and my favorite way of wearing blush and not having deal with fading is to apply cream or liquid blush over my foundation, spray with setting spray, apply powder and then apply powder blush, and finally spray with more setting spray. My blush (and the rest of my complexion products) lasts all day and all night.

Wow. Loved the video! And so true about finding the right blush for your undertone! I got the Kylie Winter Kissed blush, that’s kinda a dupe for the Dior one (the super bubble pink one), so I got it because it looked beautiful on some ladies, but on my fair skin that also has kind of a neutral to warm undertone, it just doesn’t look right. Much better option is my favourite blush at the moment, from IT Cosmetics, BYE BYE PORES BLUSH in the shade Je Ne Sais Quoi. It is perfect! It’s not a coral blush but it’s also not a pink blush, it’s kind of in the middle. Love that one! 😃💖 Thanks again for teaching women useful things. You are makeup KZbin queen. 👑

I've tried blending more and it just looks ashy pink when blended more. It just doesn't work for me sadly :( If it had the slightest hint of yellow added, I think it could be more versatile :(

It’s color theory. If you match the undertone you can get a pink look but with other colors. Like how someone who has very deep skin can wear purple blush but it looks like a light pink

As a fair cool undertone person I definitely do not agree with your recommendation about light blushes and matching your undertone… for my coloring cool tone blushes literally make me look sick and warm tones make my skin glow and look alive! And bright and “darker” colors give me the “contrast” my pale skin needs… but I’m totally a blush girl so … 😂❤ love your videos though!

I'm also fair and cool-neutral and I look best in dusky shades with cool or neutral undertones. Anything too cool or too warm or too bright would make me look sick because it'll clash with my skin undertone and make me look clownish. You may be a winter type of beauty if dark and saturated colours suit you best.
@KZ-pt5qk2 ай бұрын
@@Kayanyen I’m definitely not a warm undertone… I have tried neutral complexion products but they always looked off… peach undertone is off too… I might be a fair olive but that seems to be a newer thing and I don’t know what brands even have those undertones in their products?!…
@KZ-pt5qk2 ай бұрын
@@odala8245 to be honest I might just like the bright blush! Lol… I have a long thin face shape so I don’t really contour my face and bronzer placement must be strategic… the blush is really my go to option for face color so I think I gravitate to the bright/ dark colors 😊

Hi Marlena, thanks for the video! It's interesting that you say your skintone is neutral to warm. To my eye, you look like a Winter with a cool skin tone. However, this may be my monitor, which is old, or my vision, which is also old. Re cream blush for dry skin: I should try it. I've used powder blush over liquid foundation or tinted moisturizer on my dry skin for years, and it lasts all right. But possibly cream would be better as my skin gets more textured. I've tried a stick blush, and I didn't like it. I couldn't get it where I wanted to apply it.
