Look, it’s not that I don’t like talking to people, it’s that after a few minutes of talking to me, they realize that I can listen to them well, and then they decide to unload all their problems to me. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I think it’s nice that people feel comfortable enough with me to talk about personal stuff. But sometimes I want to talk about myself. That’s not being selfish, I just want to feel heard. I’ve got feelings and baggage too, and it’s kind of hurtful when I start talking, others tend to try and talk over me, or blow me off. I’m not complaining about my “super depressing” life (which it’s not) I’m just asking for a bit of understanding and acknowledgment. Plus I wouldn't Ever be such a jerk to cut someone off in the middle of a conversation . It's like certain people out there . Forgotten the basics of learning how to talk to people . Like one person says something then they finish the other person should wait . But at the same time While Waiting when someone's talking they definitely shouldn't take a long time to explain just to get To the point . I'm an introvert who always overthinks to a point where I don't do or say anything at all. And there's a point where I think that thinking before speaking can be overrated. There's a sincerity in speaking without thinking that I believe is undervalued in our society. I don't want to be that person, or make any secretive schemes with such a person, because I'm sensitive and don't have the guts to handle what comes from it, but I often admire people who speak their mind regardless of possible consequences. Sometimes meaningful change can only come unintentionally, and sometimes the truth is intuitive and spontaneous. Sometimes people have heureka moments that only come if they let the words flow without suppressing certain ideas. What we consciously think is only the tip of the iceberg of what our brain is capable of. There's value in both. It's just harder to balance either types of people if you're really far on either side of the spectrum. We tend to often prefer traits in others that are comfortable rather than high risk, high reward. But it can be really helpful to be able to handle either. And yes, it can be really annoying when someone blurts out something (maybe secretive) they really shouldn't have, but just like the tendency to overthink, this trait has to be cultivated.

Believe me I have enough of my own, which others could care less to acknowledge. Things I enjoy while alone, others find boring while I find all the chaos surrounding them, exhausts me. My experience as an Introvert: My seatmates go to other seats to copy assignments and I were the only one left in the seat row because I am a responsible student who always finish school works after the class. So I was seating silently minding my own business and doing what I have to do when suddenly my teacher asked "Do you have friends?" And all my classmates looked at me with a pity thinking that I am lonely when infact I am enjoying my self doing school works, was the most embarrassing, humiliating, and annoying moment that I've ever experienced.

I think I'm an introvert, I get drained by socialising and don't often look forward to family and friend events. This might sound weird but I love listening to other's problems and insecurities, because I like listening and making them feel better. I definitely prefer emailing/texting and love art, but I often blab things out and don't think before speaking and really bad at problem solving..... so I'm mostly an introvert but there's things I don't fit with.

I’m an introvert. A total introvert. Why do people at school make SUCH a big deal about the way “quiet” people are? I’m like, aren’t y’all the loud and narcissistic ones? But, of course, I stay silent, keeping a wobbling wall between my emotions and my mouth (and eyes, because I always feel like crying at school). It’s not that I’m lonely or anything, it’s just that I feel emotionally drained and tired after I’m in a crowd of extroverts for too long. I feel super tired. Well, nobody listens to me anyway, I just keep my silence and pretend I’m SUPER fine, because who knows what people are going to say behind my back. People say “Oh, why are you hiding your true self? You’re beautiful just the way you are, so be YOU!” and I know that I’m fine the way I am, but in school? That’s different. I only have one true friend, which I’m happy with, but I used to have this big friend group with 5 girls, but I hate them now. They don’t hate me, and that the problem, because they follow me everywhere and I cant ignore them because they act super innocent around teachers so they would NEVER suspect anything about them. They are totally fake friends, only using me, seeking for popularity. I hate it. Why do girls act SO different around boys? One girl that I HATE (who uses me and ONLY THINKS ABOUT POPULARITY) says something like “I’m busy so I can’t do the project with you during break” and then when I tell the guys in my group that she told me that she wouldn’t come, she’s like “Oh actually I’ll come” and acts like she never even said that to me, and all of the sudden I seem like the liar. Sorry I sound dramatic, but that’s my life. Im happy with my one true friend. We’re graduating from our school soon, so I’ll keep screaming my emotions (that I keep in my head and weighs me down and makes me want to sob hysterically and run out of the classroom) into my pillow until then. Thanks for reading, writing this comment helped me reflect on my feelings. Edit: Sorry, one more thing that I cant get out of my mind. That friend I said before who treats boys differently, she thinks she’s SO better than me. She uses me and then leaves me like I’m a piece of trash. I’m like I DONT NEED YOU TO BE BY MY SIDE ALL THE TIME IM FINE WITH MY FRIENDS NOW SO STOP FOLLOWING ME AND GO STALK THAT ONE POPULAR GIRL WHO YOU LIKE SO MUCH AND ALSO WHY ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME WHEN YOU THINK IM NOT POPULAR GRRRRRR Also, It’s not like my school is bad. Actually, my kind of school is said to be pretty rare, because kids in my school aren’t the “bully” type of kids. So don’t think I’m in a horrible school or anything, it’s just that I’m really… I don’t know. Stressed? I’m just so tired of all this stuff going on that I cry every night in my bedroom.

Honestly, a good listener, i remember in my previous work, the workers always opens up to me that honestly shocked me because i didn't expect them to do that, but i just let them speak and listen to them they even shared me their secrets. And i also remember, I'm new to work and my OIC interviewing a person, then that person starts to get emotional and to my surprised she talked to me open up to me, about they're life and problems and what they're struggling, and we only met once and then open up. It just surprised me sometimes that how can they share those information (?) to me?.

I am an introvert. Sometimes I think I might be an ambivert But then I remember that I like staying in the space I make enjoyable. A space where I listen to whatever music I want to with white christmas lights on the wall, blanket on my back as I sit down on the floor and peacefully embroider while I think about my day and I have a conversation with myself and think about things I want to do tomorrow and other stuff. That space, is special to me. I definetly prefer it over going out and talking to random people I barely know and then I feel exhausted from it. I like tryig new things. I sometimes go out, but somewhere with a blanket and a peaceful quiet place where I can recreate and have time for myself, to recharge. so this video, all that's been said in it,I definetly relate to and I LOVED IT💚💚💚

I used to be really extroverted years ago. When i took up psychology in grade 11, i got to know about introspection and that helped me get through some rough patches in my life. Ever since i got into the field of psychology i have always tried to become a good listener. For the longest time now my friends have been telling me how i have gotten quieter and a bit more reserved. At first i didn't like the change but when i realized how much more observant i had become it really made me happy. i have always been into fine arts and dance but never really took them very seriously until 2 years ago. i am glad that i made those decisions. These changes i believe are the result of some events that happened and the cherry on the top is taking up psychology :) I am more of an ambivert leaning towards introversion. I love the way i am now.
