Do you identify as an introvert? While no personality type is better than the other, there has often been a clear social bias against introverts, who tend to be misjudged as cold, aloof, awkward, or unfriendly by those that don’t understand them. Even introverts themselves feel a lot of pressure to be more extroverted and act against their nature because of how society perceives extroverts more likable and more likely to succeed. But there are a lot of great qualities and advantages that come with being an introvert that people sadly overlook. In this video, we would like to list out the things introverts naturally excel at over extroverts!
Did you know that there are 4 types of introverts? if you're an introvert and want to find out which type you fall into, we have a video on that too: • The 4 Types of Introve...

@Psych2Go , I put on a mask, it's that simple for me. Unfortunately it does get very tiring and it leaves me emotionally exhausted. I just have to endure it with one end goals, the grades. Because that's pretty much what I care about so it doesn't bother me that my activeness is not genuine (as long as that's how my superiors view me as). (Note: my answer kinda makes me sound like a cold jerk lol, I am emotionally disconnected but I don't always use this method on my classmates, I put on the mask just to efficiently go through the conversation so I have no I'll intent over this :v)

Introverts during a group conversation: "Hey, I have something to say", start analyzing what's the best way to say it so that's it's concise and well understood without talking too much. When you're about to say it, you realize it's no more relevant or they moved on to something else. 2 hours later, you haven't said a word and some extrovert will tell you how you didn't participate and how quiet you are. 😢

Hey if it's just introversion and you just love being on your own don't listen to them, but getting panic attacks around people and extremely loud heart beating is not normal, please don't ignore those symptoms (if you have any)...also you can't be friends with anyone you know how fake some people can be, just have one or two true friends and hang out with them.

Once my parents forced me to read a speech in front of like fifty people and I had a panic attack and felt like I had to throw up but my parents just think that I’m too sensitive.

We need practice, i think i've changed a little after a few uncomfortable situations at college and oral exams, trust me it gets better, you just keep believing in yourself and know that you're lucky enough to have peaceful life, everything will be alright as long as you give 100% of your power.

See, I'm not either. I have the ability to shift between the two. In some ways, I'm introverted, but in others, I'm extroverted. But with conversations, I also prefer the deeper and meaningful ones. But I can also small talk, if I have to.

I remember my late brother always used to tell me not to say how I really felt when people asked the question 'how are you' because it was just a script they ran through, and they weren't really interested. My stance on the question was (and still is): if you don't want me to answer that question truthfully, don't ask it in the first place.

Yup, folks have even said this about the sort of leadership I lead with: more compassionate. However, having my sister over has made me realize a lot of these differences about both of us, because she is much more extraverted (thus also fearless) than me! Lol I take time to think DEEPLY very often, especially when listening to others or dealing with conflict and I appreciate simply being in the shadows, as I let others take the spotlight!

All of this videos had helped me to understand myself more and i thank you for that. I even understood the reason why i felt so hurt the last year with a friend. He's extrovert, he loves to be around people and he also likes the attention he gets, i knew that, so i looked for opportunities for him to meet more people in a new circle of friends for both of us...so we usually meet with this friends once a week the fridays, but even if i enjoyed it i and i love them i don't like to stay out so late, i usually said that i wanted to sleep after being with them like 3 or 4 hours and then i just wanted to go, but tbh i went to my home and maybe watch tv or sit in my living room in the living room and think. Also, he started to "advice me" that maybe sometimes because of that i look too serious or grumpy and even that i didn't care as much as him for our friendship because i didn't make the effort to go out more with him to places that i don't really enjoy, or that i wasn't treasuring his feelings because when he said something really nice to me i didn't extend as him with my feelings put into words, etc...Now what i see is that even if we meet each other for a really long time ago in that time i started to show more of me, i trusted in that he knew me enough so that i don't have to lie about the real reasons why i wanted to go earlier (i was just tired), and like we were close, finally i didn't have to invent excuses to go to some places and with people i don't know! so i could be honest and say: "i don't really want to go, thanks", right? and also i didn't have to force myself in answers about my feelings that in that moment i didn't feel like to talk about it...because i'm completely sure that i had show my love and feelings in other ways and even with words...just not all the time...so, what hurt me is that i was feeling comfty to show myself like i really am and what i receive was "advices" to be different. Why do i always think about the well being of my extroverts friends and i try that they don't feel uncomfortable but they can't do the same thing with me?

As a total introvert, I completely agree with everything mentioned in this video. Another thing about introverts is that, in written or typed word, we seem like extroverts. So, a lot of people we talk to online or through letters/cards whom we've never met face to face before probably mistake us for extroverts. I love having conversations with people online but dread having face to face conversations (or, really, having to say anything other than “Hi”) with people.

*When you don't know which one you are* But seriously😂, I am _extremely chatty_ and active, but also really perceptive (my friends told me they like opening up to me because, I quote, I'm _"a great listener and knows more about their present emotions than they do themselves"_ ). Likes to keep to myself, yet enjoys the company of others very much. Really loves❤ classical old style stuff, and even old gestures and quiet moments and all that, but also enjoy loud and fun parties. I can't say about music, I love all the genres, from classical to jazz to rock, etc. (I have atleast 5 of every kind in my playlist, noshit I got 800 songs in my phone😂). Lastly, I overthink [future scenarios... *every possible outcome* ] a lot and even though I thoroughly think of what my next move should be, no matter how discreet and quiet or expressive and confident, it always ends up the opposite😂 So *ambivert* then?

Is anyone else both an introvert and extrovert? I’m introvert around people I don’t know (but as I get to know them I’m an extreme extrovert, and I still be a good listener), my crushes, and people I don’t feel comfortable being around. I’m an extrovert around my friends, family, people I’m extremely comfortable with, and MOST teachers (because they are fun to talk to, well some of them and sometimes). People see me as the “shy” kid at school and they are right and wrong, I am actually quiet at school and shy around others (mostly my crushes) but I have my reasons of being quiet which is because 1. I’m trying to focus on something 2. I don’t feel like talking (not in the mood) 3. I don’t know what to say 4. I’m tired, those are the 4 main reasons so just don’t assume someone is quiet or shy because they don’t talk but yes I am quiet and quite fun (funny too) when you get to know me.

When collaborating or doing a group project, I tend to let my members bring out each of their opinions and ideas, and discuss about them. After a considerable amount of thoughts, we polished them and agree altogether. So many times where I see a group work where one is the leader and they pressured the others to follow their commands (it's not even considered bad, it's standard in my school to have the leader being dominant) and seeing them being so overwhelmed made me felt upset. Glad I've got to show my teachers and friends that being a leadership is not about having control, but rather being free in expressing their thoughts and opinions. Thanks Psych2Go, 💓. Sometimes the roles are switched, therefore, different work ethic.
