This video has amazing imagery and cinematography. I'm rewatching it again just because there is so much visually here to appreciate. I keep saying, "Damn thats cool. How did he do that?" Also, the narration is solid. Its accurate. Its concise. Its value-adding. There is no fluff and filler. Joey has mastered his craft. Joey deserves a gold star for this video.

Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

@@pepperpitz3291Because it’s important to keep focus when you’re beaten down and feel like life is fucked. Sometimes it’s hard to remember the importance all of these things and the positive impact they have on your life when you have been using maladaptive behavior to cope for so long. Like bro have some empathy for the people who know the truth but fall off the path, the human condition requires faith used for one to overcome their demons. Faith is tested when you fall off the path, whether it’s a religion you subscribe to or even your own self improvement. Faith isn’t something that you just unlock and have forever, true faith requires the struggle to maintain it. Sometimes people fall hard when their faith is tested, but we as humans are defined by our ability to maintain faith and stay in the fight. That’s the missing component in the modern world, as people would have you believe faith is synonymous with religion rather than the promise to wake up tomorrow and try again.

I'm 100% agree with every single point in this well made video. I suffered of depression and alcoholism during 4 years and I was able to put and end to this slowly but surely only because I started treated myself good (and my apartment) like I should have always done. Therapy and medication saved me during the darkest stages of my depression but as soon as I wanted to get out of this conditions, the transformation begins. Today, I'm an into ultra cycling, bouldering and running and sport is the best way (maybe the only way) to get your energy back. Amazing information. I started figuring out to do these things at age 36. It was hard to realizing the constant mistakes, dopamine hits I kept cycling in my life. I'm 38 now, lost 40 lbs and about 6 months away from finishing building my own place. Its HARD I won't lie, real HARD, but it's important to sit down, only use the past mistakes as a reminder of WHY you failed and make CONSCIOUS decisions to LEARN from those mistakes and do better. You'll still make mistakes, but one by one you will master not falling into a pit again.

Thanks for saying all of this! I just turned 36 and I've been having panic attacks or whatever it is about how I'm still having panic attacks and don't believe in myself, mostly because I spent so much time believing I'd be better by now. So this gives me some hope :) Congratulations on building your home. That's one of my family's goals and part of why we're so frustrated. There seems to be this idea that I need to "get out of the pattern of panic attacks before we do anything" about anything and it's a lot of pressure because as soon as I am being or feel I'm being criticized or judged, I instantly spiral into an extreme panic attack and sometimes they're sprinkled with PTSD symptoms and autistic traits, yet it's all on me to snap out of it through mindset 😭 It's really hard because I'm perpetually facing eviction because of how loud it can be. So I feel like I'm in a weird cycle of almost losing my house because of these panic attacks, which are preventing me from being in a good enough place mentally or emotionally to actually get in the position to get land and build a home with my husband. It's hard and I feel like it's unfair, but I'm not allowed to say this because it's my fault I choose to have panic attacks, according to family members/landlord. 😫 I have trouble with the making conscious choices to not fall into a panic attack spiral or a PTSD memory. My husband and I are super into the topic of consciousness and it's held over me that I can't just stop having panic attacks. I was on medication for over 10 years that never stopped the attacks and only added worse side effects. I'm trying to never go on them again but it's hard. Thanks for listening :)

@@theQuietWire My one piece of advice for men, any man regardless of your background, is to workout for your mental stability. I've had arthritis since i was 5, at 20 my father tried to kill me. This is no joke nor search for clout. Its fucking hard, I cannot stress this enough. I kept dating women who had issues just like me because somewhere in my mind I wanted to fix them and believed this would fix me. One day I just got up. Cleaned my shit. Stopped smoking, drinking. Went gym 4 times a week. At that ALONE helped my mental stability. Even NOW when I dont feel stable i just take a 30min walk to the gym. workout for an hour. Walk back home and I feel renewed. Keep pushing. It'll workout once you PUT IN THE WORK.

Really well made video and good story telling. Im dealing with Depression since around 5 years now. 2 Weeks ago i looked at my misserable live and decided i need to change something. I defenitly was addicted to playing video games (around 8 hours or more a day) and smoking cigarettes the most, having no job for around half a year now, is the most frustrating. Surprisingly i am able to not feel the urge to play video games that much and havent played since 2 weeks. The addiction to cigarettes is defenitly harder to quit, but i could reduce it to 1-2 per day. I start my day with taking a ice bath after i wake up, for around 3-5 Minutes. Its a challange every morning but it helps me shut down my mind a bit, because overthinking and negative thoughts are probably bothering me the most. It also helps eliminate the sleepy and tired feelings, coming up unlimited times over the usual day. I also stopped any intense consumption of KZbin, TikTok or other Media. I have the feeling that my thoughts are getting much clearer every day and i don't think about billions of topics that i just saw in the hundreds of videos i watched before. Going outside for a walk in the Forest for atleast an hour every day is also very good for cleansing my mind and helps me reconnect with nature and myself, since i was so disconnected because of hourless gaming, media consumption etc. - This also kinda evolved a new hobby. Studieng the local Plants, Trees and Mushrooms, and building Terrariums with some Interesting Plants. Its very surprising to me how i went form suicidal thoughts and even making plans to kill myself to seeing live positiv and getting motivated to do stuff, in around 2 weeks now. Its not perfect but its a good start. I have the feeling that so many people currently going threw similar problems in the western world. I hope we can all come back to our senses, reconnecting with Nature and ourselves. See our potential and awaken our Power that we hide inside. If you are reading this and you are struggling. Don't rush yourself, don't try to get everything done in 1 day. Take ur time, take small steps and don't feel bad for not being able to get everything done that fast. But try to find a good balance, so you dont fall back into bad habits. And definitely try out ice bath in the morning or a cold shower, this is definitely a gamer changer. you got this :)

Really impactful... I like the videogame angle in which these points are presented, a genius way to make it more relatable. If I were to add another step to this already perfectly crafted video, it would be a specific one related to mental health. I'm not saying that these point don't do wonders for mental health and overall life positivity. But having a friend or a person who really listens to you, preferable someone who is in the same boat as you or have experience with the problems you are facing. The feeling of being truly listened to and not feeling alone about the struggles we are facing is the thing that has helped me the most. e.g: Step X Strenghten the mind.

Note the hypocrisy here: the video contains points such as “beware of your finances and corporations who want to take your money through subscriptions you don’t need”, and “eliminate useless things you depend on”. But, then it proceeds to advertise some supplement from a corporation that you don’t actually need and can become dependent on if you don’t eat healthily in general and instead rely on such supplements for energy. Probably a good point that could have been made in this video is to focus on a healthy, nutritious diet and to drink plenty of water. However this somewhat is in conflict with the advertisement and therefore it’s not surprisingly left out. I think the content of this channel is nice for the most part, but beware the hypocrisy and that it’s also part of a money-making scheme

All while saying I refuse to be $175 negative ever again… I tell myself “I deserve a clean house” to motive me to clean… started working out and cutting out sugar. I’m so determined to not be the ADHD person that I am with constant migraines. When I fall off track I cry because I’m reminded of how I hate being that person and it’s time to get back into who I truly want to be. Right now I’m working on adding more fun into my day. Thank you, Joey! I have been sucked back into some unhelpful habits since returning from the trip of a lifetime. After reading Dopamine Nation by Ana Lembke I have learned that this is a common phenomenon, similar to relapse in addicts. So if you find yourself in a rut, no matter how long it is, I can tell you that learning how to regulate your dopamine (which controls the motivation of your life force) and taking these steps will bring you back to your power and joy for living! We are hardwired to feel good, so it’s not you (well maybe sometimes it is, in the mindset) - it’s our modern environment that we are learning how to live with! You will get unstuck. First thing, get outside and get light in your eyes in the morning. You will start to feel better immediately and each little gain will provide wind in your sails. I’m starting to get back to a good routine, keeping an organized and healthy environment, and you can too! All the love to my fellow humans on the struggle bus. You can get off whenever you choose! ❤

I’m working through my depression with CBT and this video resonates a lot with the tools I’m learning. If you feel inspired by this video, keep in mind that for every step here you may take a lot of mini steps in it too. Consider focusing on step 8 first to develop a mindset and then do step 1 and perhaps 2, these two steps may be as simple as changing out of your pajamas if you’re like me that never change clothes. Step 2 can be as simple as making your bed. Keep it simple, be consistent and you will improve over time, maybe after one week you’re showering daily, maybe after two weeks your dishes are clean at the end of the day, maybe after three weeks you are taking a morning walk, and so on. Keep it simple, and do things at your own pace.

I don’t know what I want a degree in, I don’t know what kind of life I want, etc. Even though these are all such simple tasks to figure out, I make them complicated. So listening to this just reminded me that the small things matter most. The things I made “small” like taking care of myself, eating, sleeping, exercising and all those tasks. They are the foundation of my mental health and I needed this reminder. My head and my kingdom come first 🥰 thank you ❤

This is how I felt in my 20's. I was working towards a teaching degree and felt so disconnected all the time and not sure if I wanted to be a teacher. And if not that, then what? I couldn't see how my life was going to go and was lost, discouraged, just doing what I thought I was supposed to but not feeling connected to it in any way. I'm 51 now, twice your age. I just wanted to tell you that it's ok not to have it all figured out at that age. It's normal. The others don't actually have it all together either, they're faking confidence. Sometimes I believe this disconnect happens because we're really meant for something greater and it's a call to action from our souls to find ourselves. I would encourage you to explore all your interests and find your passion. When you find what makes you happy, truly happy, the universe opens up. I never became a teacher. I felt like a failure but it just wasn't for me and that's ok. I discovered that what makes me sing is history and so I buy and sell vintage and antiques. This is a rough age but you're going to get it right. Trust yourself. 🙏

What’s beautiful about yesterday is that it‘s over. It’s in the past. Today is anything you want it to be. You get to decide not only what it is, but just as important, your perception of it. @@TheGnom33 It's okay we all struggle with that one, what fixed it for me is rather than having a bin in my room I just get a big black binliner and leave it within arms reach so no matter what I eat or do I've made it a habit to stuff the rubbish in the bag and the green one is further away I pile the recyclables near it to be put into the bag, this keeps my room far cleaner than it used to be, I keep a kitchen roll by my desk side and one by my fridge side (which I use almost like a kitchen surface since the kitchen is usually messy, not my kitchen i've tried to do something about it but people complained that I was taking too long) My family are messy and my stepdad is the problem he'd rather see to the garden that we rarely go out in than clean the pots with excuse after excuse theres no room for a dishwasher unfortunately so it has to be done by hand, and his method is the worst he lets the pile up rather than doing it straight away while the cleaning would be easy... but when you try to do it yourself he doesn't let you cause he's "The Man of The House" and then he complains that no one else does it! So i've been eating salads and foods I can make in room because my timing is terrible by the time i'm in the mood to cook a stir fry I go downstairs and the sink is full and so are all the benches of mucky pots it's nasty and some are sat on the cooker itself! So when I wanna cook I can't! they also put all the pots on top of the freezer so it was hard to access it, I got so fed up when a goverment cash injection came I used the last of it to buy a freezer for my bedroom (since thankfully I have the large bedroom) I keep my room like a clean apartment with a fridge and a chest freezer because a man has gotta eat (also they kept burying my food at the bottom and putting theirs on the top it's not on so I took control of my life!) When I got that fridge it was the first step I began to order online instead of having my stepdad bring it from the supermarket cause i'd ask for these healthier foods and he'd pretend and say they didn't have any in stock yet everytime I go there they are always in stock! I you got your own place, your own bank account and control of all you own then your already doing better than me in that regard! I'm working on letting the social know I changed my name gotta go to the HMRC app and sort that out so it says my new name on the letters, then I gotta sort my medical stuff out with the new doctor get my conditions diagnosed whatever they may be, then I gotta get a bank account in my new name and transfer my money from my stepdad's account to mine and get some photo ID keep in mind I'm 30 and I for years got so stressed with forms that I put off getting a bank account had I done it then it would of been easier it's much harder now to give evidence you are who you say you are cause documents have to be recent in the past 6 months and the city council last sent me a letter beginning of last year and that was with my old name! They make the whole process tedious so you can't get out and become independent it's like they want you to stay at home and waste away! But I'm not giving up even if I have to sit through 20hr calls to get $h!+ done it's gonna be done because I am so done being stonewalled but first things first I was in a rut since september thanks for reminding me what I want, and who I am Better Ideas!

I don't think you have to "complete" step 1 to move onto step 2. It's more an unordered list of bullet points to hit than a step-by-step guide. You should not skip the gym because you have dishes in the sink at home. Everyone will have a particular part of the list that they struggle with more than the others, and that's ok! If you have a brick wall to get through it's best to go get some rest and look around for a sledgehammer.

This video is amazing and explains my life currently. I hit rock bottom last year the night I tried to end my life. It was a day after hitting a year sober. At that moment I made that decision I had decided I hated myself and had purpose and had no reason to be on earth. But that's where the change started. I looked over my behavior and saw where I was wrong. I decided it was time to change myself. So I went for it. I went to meetings, shared my story, started to do the right thing, kept everything clean, kept organized, and got rid of all of the bullshit. I just tried to get a little better everyday one day at a time. The rewards of doing this for 8 months are really starting to bud. New friendships, looking at new career paths, finally getting a grip on saving, but more importantly all the internal shit is finally there. I can say I love myself, I'm no longer too scared to help others where I can, I'm pretty content, definitely happy which I must say is a nice change, and my favorite one I'm confident!

I haven’t cried in so long, I’ve had so much build up since 2020 and my life has been in wild up but mostly downs, many failures, little happiness. But this video also gives me hope. Hope that the work I’ve been trying to put in will pay off soon.

Life can be a struggle, and when I'm feeling low, I remember what my dad told me. He said Life is a struggle. I think expecting that struggle helped me never pity myself and I use his words as a reference. Don't worry, hang in there. When you do the right things in spite of the struggle, soon enough it pays off. It always pays off.

I have felt similar recently - just chained to my bed, letting whatever potential I thought I had guilt me into thinking that I am nothing. Just want you to know that you aren't alone. Let us both commit to a handful of these philosophies that Joey has shown us and just little by little, day by day, start from scratch and work towards fighting those feelings, friend.

Melanie, you wrote this as it's a relevant and pertinent point. I really feel that if those 8 steps can be locked and loaded as ingrained behavior, we'd be better equipped to deal with that fleeting thing called "life". 🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆

I needed this video right now for two different reasons. One is because of the message. It's simply put and it's impactful. I tend to overthink things a lot and then my mind distracts itself so easily that even if I did have some motivation, or profound change in my thinking and attitude, it would be swept away by something else (like youtube). I'm also a film student and was recently given a bad grade on an assignment and it really discouraged me. But your shots are awesome and it peaks my visual brain with wonder. Thanks for helping me.

Here is a summary of the key points from the video: The video outlines 8 steps to improve your life: 1. Take care of yourself - shower, groom, use scents. Treat yourself with respect. 2. Clean your environment - tidy and organize your living space. An orderly environment reflects an orderly mind. 3. Go outside - don't isolate yourself indoors. Interact with people and nature. 4. Exercise - work out and sweat daily for mental and physical benefits. 5. Monitor your finances - check balances and cut unnecessary costs. Don't let spending bleed you dry. 6. Remove unhealthy hooks - turn off notifications, unsubscribe from email lists, etc. Reduce mindless consumerism. 7. Strategize - make plans to achieve your goals and improve your chances of success. 8. Submit to what you must do - silence overthinking, trust yourself, and take action. Develop confidence through following your authentic inner voice. The video encourages taking control of your life through these simple but powerful steps for self-improvement and fulfillment. It emphasizes starting with self-care and your immediate environment before expanding efforts outward.

im very happy to see my progress is actually going through the same steps, i started by taking care of my hygiene that was poor due to big mental and physical health issues. and now im at step 5! but step 5 was the most life-changing for me, it started with small walks that eventually got longer and now im working out to build muscle and oh god it feels so refreshing and good. i will work harder to do 6 and on!

This is an amazing video. It cuts straight to the point. The 8 steps are simple, but prove as an effective base to build your dream on. It's what the title says, and it delivers exactly what it promises. Also, pretty great artistic work: Good cinematics, nicely written. Thank you!

I think #8 could be pushed right up to #1 because mentally overpowering your surroundings and the way you feel is what leads to the ability to do every other step. I hate to simplify it all with "willpower" because people will dismiss it and say "I just don't have any willpower" but that's really where it starts. You have to listen to your brain as if it were a sage advisor instead of some stupid internal thought you can easily override. And it starts with a small override. Just a minor win of saying "I didn't want to go out for a walk today but I did it anyway". You will get a rush from not only the exercise and fresh air, but also that you did the right thing.

I'm a Christian, and the part where he said "even a man of faith is a fool if he doesn't use the gifts God gave him" hit me like a truck. I've been in a funk for nearly 4 months now. This actually snapped me out of it. I'm hoping when my alarm goes off at 5:30am tomorrow, I answer the bell. I plan to use my day to shower and shave, strategize, get a run in, and be a person out in the world. I'm a real estate agent, and it's high time I get out there and meet some new connections. Thank you, Joey! Also, what a video!!! Been watching your content for a year now and what a difference in production value!

So, I'm not the type to leave a comment in a video but I'll give it a shot. Thank you for making this great video. I found it very pure and free of toxicity; it isn't the type of sigma-male self help videos you usually find when looking for motivation, riddled with "success" stories and useless lifestyle critique. This makes it so much easier for the viewer to follow and pay attention to. I really appreciate that you don't refer to this video as a cure-all for people who don't know where to start and help themselves. It is immersive and I find that the viewer gets a chance to visualize themselves starting to act on each step. Yeah, most of the steps are intuitive (self care, cleanliness, financial awareness, etc.) but it seems that thought was poured in practicing a certain order in the placement of each step, which is very rare in these types of videos. I believe that is very helpful in the fact that some people (like myself) are a little scatter-minded and will try to climb all stairs at once. Thanks again for this video, it really helped. I'll go clean the house now.

I’ve been struggling with this horrible habit of not having a schedule or a routine. If I’m being honest it’s probably why I’m suddenly not in a good mood or even feeling very anxious at times. I don’t know what it may be but all I know is that I do not plan on being miserable for the rest of my life.
