Love your channel man. Got pulled over a month or two ago, Expired tags expired registration and suspended license for unpaid traffic fines. I fixed it all, got it all legal and went to court, The cop basically was my lawyer lol. Droped the tags / suspended and gave me $100 expired inspection. He was a really good cop. And watching your videos reminded me you guys are human and I treated him like a normal person witch Helped my situation I think. I was 100% in the wrong and he helped me out a ton. Keep the videos coming, more cops need to start youtube channels and the department should stand behind them. Stay safe man

I used to be an armed security in California. I meet a lot of LE. I mostly had good experience with LE however there is an exception to every rule. I had cops trying to get away with reports on a person that I detained for vandalism. and others would say let me just see your personal bodycam or dashcam and just go with that (easy going and quick case revolvers) however there was only once when LE was able to respond with in 10 min. and other 99% of calls it was over 45 min even when shots fired reported.

I grew up in a city with a ton of aggressive cops. They were always harassing teenagers just for walking down the street. Once when I was 15, one of these cops told me my father could lock me in a barrel in the garage and that would be legal. Nice 👍🏽 guy!

+Phill e Those are called ghost graphics. There almost unreadable in the day but reflective at night. As my understanding, some states have laws where only marked cars can pull you over. Ghost graphics are a loophole in that law. Technically the car is marked but most wouldnt realize unless your 10 ft away

the one I see where I'm at, that wasn't on this list... is the Golden Boy. The guy that management is Obsessed with. The one that not only thinks he can do no wrong, but management believes he does no wrong. We have a few here that have been promoted through the lines with no (or next to no) experience or qualifications better than others who were applying. One specific comes to mind was me and another guy going for a Shift LT position, Same hiring date for the force, same academy. He had 2 unrelated degrees (like kinesiology and athletic training) I had 1 in criminal justice, and 4 years of leadership development and assessment through ROTC. He had no military experience, no management experience. I didn't even get an oral board due to "lack of management experience" this guy wound up getting the job. The other, is basically the opposite. The officers who work their asses off trying to do good, and wind up getting shit on at every turn even though they are a great officer and a good guy. This could be from management or other officers. We have a guy here, awesome guy, smart as hell, and on point as an officer. Constantly gets ragged on for doing things slightly different, but still in protocol. Made one mistake over the radio (like saying the car was a Focus instead of a Taurus) and wound up getting an ass chewing for it, then shit on by the other officers for months over how they don't trust him to have accurate call outs any more.

If anything, military service would be a great asset to law enforcement except for those with dishonorable discharges, which automatically disqualifies one from employment in criminal justice. PTSD may be a major liability although an affected officer may need to be restricted to desk duty.

I met all 8 of these and more through various driving awards and honorable mentions in my youth. I somehow always ran into the well rounded cop when I was really in the wrong. One of the easiest guys I ever dealt with was a trooper who had me dead to rights at 93 in a 50. Written for 65 in a 50, got that reduced to 9 over by the da and was all good. I think it shocked him that I pulled over. If you're cool with them, they're cool with you.

I hardly ever get stopped, it's been 10 years or so but I was with my son and got stopped for running a red light and we didn't run the light, the car in front of us did. The officer immediately became obnoxious and foul mouth. I deal with the DOT alot so I called a DOT officer, which pissed the city cop off, but the officer showed up and had my son tell his side of the story and listened to the other cops side. The DOT told us to be careful and have a good evening and off we went. I love cops but some can be asshole for no reason, just like people I guess.

Enlist as security forces (which is military police for the Air Force) do your time and 6 months before leaving the military you start applying to various PD and use your available leave days for the pd processing. one of my friends was going to work for chicago pd and told me some pretty messed up stories. he told me about a time someone was found dead in a car and the officers who found them put the car in neutral and pushed it down the block in state police jurisdiction just so they didn't have to do the paperwork. The office aggressor often won't stir up a violent situation but will instead lead every conversation into a shout match. I got pulled over by a well rounded cop a few years back for going through a red light. It was an honest mistake seeing a close light (next one down the street) turn green out of the corner of my eye while I was looking over at my daughter. At about half way through the intersection I realized what I had done and started changing lanes to pull over before the cops lights even came on (I seen him in rearview while stopped before the oops) While talking with him I was 100% honest saying it was a bad reflex I was not paying attention to our light and just seen red to green as I was looking down at my daughter, I told him I know I could have caused an accident and I was lucky that no one was in or close to our intersection. I even told him I knew he was behind me and started pulling over before he could even react and turn on his lights and siren. I think the biggest reason I did not get a ticket that day is my little girl was crying her eyes out and saying "don't take my daddy to jail" I told her right in front of the officer daddy's not going to jail I'm either going to get a ticket or a warrning and then we will go home. The officer gave me a warning said to pay better attention gave her a sticker of a police badge and sent us on our way.

Honestly, your really the only cop I follow personally on here. I follow a few other channels, but yours is the most watched for me. Cops are human just like the rest of us. But when I first moved to Texas, they were jerks. Being from Louisiana, I always got labeled as a bad person. Truth is, I've kept a job since I was 15, and nothing has changed. But they told me personally they didn't trust people from Louisiana. So it was a big search party on us for nothing cause we was just going to jack in the box. But they searched and called the drug sniffing dogs and still nothing. And over the years just being black is problematic. So you really stand out as different from the rest. Hats off to you sir.

Ok, a couple of things lol. Working nights, does it aggravate you when people drive with their high beams on and don't turn them off? I have had several jobs that have required me to drive at night, and this drives me bonkers. If so, have you ever used it as an excuse to make a traffic stop? You said in another video that you had to get authorization from your department to make a video to AfterPrisonShow. This is kind of a double edged sword kind of question for me. People that have broken the law, done their time, paid their debt to society, I feel should be treated as such. They have been through their punishment for what they have done. On the other side of that coin, there are people that think " once a criminal, always a criminal ". For severe, repeat violent offenses, I could see that. But, in your asking for authorization to make a video with him, I am unsure as to which way you sway about that. Is it a liability or credibility issue? Shouldn't law enforcement, being in the public eye, be trying to have good relations with normal people? Past criminals or not? It seems from your videos, that you want more of a transparency with law enforcement and the community. Which, I think is absolutely right. ( seeing as our tax money pays your salary lol jk jk ). It is also a very tricky situation, because you are now on a VERY public platform doing that. So, do you see being a police officer as just " a job "? I know you said your dad was a US Marshall. So, I have to think that maybe you wanted to sort of do what he's doing. But you seem very relaxed. More than almost every cop I have ever seen. But, you are also attentive and do your job, from what you describe, very well. You said you're not a car guy. Most cops I am friends with are car guys. They want to know everything about their cruiser, basically so they can push it to the limit to do their job. You also said you're not a gun nut. This again, seems to go against what I have seen from cops. You said in a previous video that there are guys that could " take their gun apart with their dick " at your work. Sorry, but if I was using a tool ( which for your job, that is essentially what it is ) that could LITERALLY depend on life or death, I would want to know everything about it and be as 100% proficient operating it AND maintaining it as much as possible. ( Kind of the same thing with your cruiser.. that has the busted part in the trunk. Not really a question, but a side note. The " almost retired " cop, I am really familiar with. My uncle just retired last year from being a local PD patrolman. He did patrol, his entire career. He didn't give a shit about his gun, his car, or even pulling speeders over. So you're exactly right when you say that the older guys do get away with just about anything.

I know this probably isn't the right video to ask this question but can police officers spike strip a motorcycle that they are pursuing? Have you ever heard of that happening? Like I've seen videos of cops cutting bikers off and hitting them with their cars to end a pursuit but never spike stripping them. Great videos by the way I've been watching since day 1! Don't change the music in your intro, that is like your music, your trademark, just like you not showing your face and almost always record driving with lots of hands gestures. Just wanted to give you an opinion, at the end of the day is your channel and I will keep watching no matter what. Keep up the great job ! Great to have people like you in the force.
