This is my building. There is construction going on. The construction materials were stored poorly. Someone lit fireworks and it burned them so they threw the fireworks and the construction materials went up in flames on the outside of the building.

How many New Yorkers have been displaced over the past two weeks due to fire? Closed to four hundred families would be my count. Now, another 80? That's closed to five hundred households within the past two weeks of the "holiday season" (please correct my math if I'm off. I'm an accountant, so it's important to get the numbers correct). Don't you people have an affordable housing shortage? Don't you people have a migrant housing crisis? Is this a "Series of Unfortunate Events"? I remember watching that movie with my kids. "Limone Snickets, A Series of Unfortunate Events". Things were catching fire mysteriously, miraculously and by DESIGN. I wonder if you young people pay attention to what you're seeing with your eyes. ARE THESE "UNFORTUNATE" EVENTS, or is there a "cause" or "reason"? (EDIT: Watch the movie again to discern whether there was a lesson to learn KIDS).

Linden Houses (NYCHA). Possible knuckleheads with fireworks have folks homeless or at Kings County Hospital for New Year's Eve? Hopefully WORKING Cameras will tell. Did Mayor Adams cut the FDNY Budget by more than 5%? Hoping residents without major fire/water damage can return home shortly. City Shelters at PATH-EAU etc will need more $; with the influx of Fire victims here, Soundview, Sunnyside, Burnside Ave building collapse, migrants & others. Sad way for NYC to end 2023.
