Yeah I really feel bad for the parents. Imagine loosing your kid and one of the reasons beeing that you didnt care enough about his esting habbits. I think alot of people dont really care about what their kids est anymore. In my family it was the same. My mom was barely home and my stepdad had to make something that was easy to do and quick cause he also had to go back to work. So most of the time I ate bad food and got chubby.

But if I wanted say a burger she would make a healthy version as home and call it mc mommies 😂 I was still allowed fizzy drinks and chocolate but only once a day if that. I’m surprised more parents aren’t controlling of what their kids eat and drink? At the time as a kid it was awful if you wanted some sweets and your mom said no. But now I’m an adult I’m quite thankful she was a bit harsh like that, because she was only thinking of my health.

I’ve noticed they tend to shy away from diagnoses on this show other than anorexia, even though there are many different eating disorders out there.

@Luc calm down. People who have experience in their personal lives binge eating disorder can usually spot these things. I'll tell you that I used to have a binge eating disorder as well as bulimia and anorexia, and in my opinion what she is doing is an organized binge... Especially planning it and doing it after your children are gone, suggests she is trying to hide it, and I would guess she uses food and binges to handle stress..especially seeing her do it after her children go to school maybe she's not handling the stress of parenting well.. it's all speculation but I'm just saying I think she's correct

Ellie, the anorexic that told her story is a really genuine, good person. I personally never had anorexia but I’ve known people who have and those “voices” in anorexics heads are real, scary, and hard to fight. The fact that she’s still eating even when the anorexia is getting to her says a lot about her stamina and determination. She’s an inspiration and I hope to get to a normal weight after being overweight just like she’s getting to be a normal weight after being anorexic (even though I know she has it a lot worse than me)

As someone who has these anorexia voices I can tell you it's really difficult to work with. I admire Ellie, because she's doing things I can't do and she gives me hope. Increases the heart rate and retaining such over a long time can actually give people a early heart attack. The reason why people in shape have a good heart is because, while they increase their heart rate while training, which long term would be dangerous, the training in the long term lowers their average heart rate doing normal stuff. Ergo, less beats over time... Drinking allot of energy drinks does the opposite and in turn can lead to heart attacks even at a young age. This is also why allot of "diet" products contain allot of caffeine because an increased heart rate also consumes more energy. I don’t like that they didn’t mention the EDs included OED (over eating disorder) which is just as real as Anorexia or other eating disorders. It’s recognized in the DSM-5. If this was the only episode that someone saw and they have undiagnosed OED how would they know that it’s not their fault.

The show ended in 2014 most of it was filmed and aired before BED was a recognized ED by the DSM. The show is over 10 years old and understanding of EDs has changed a lot since it’s airing.

What's worse? Obese or Anorexia? They're both deadly
@carolestandiford63624 жыл бұрын
I would believe is how extreme both is you can be obese and save yourself and you can be anorexic and save yourself But I think it’s a lot easier to gain weight because instead of avoiding the food that’s everywhere it’s easy to enjoy but if you’re obese you have to fight with yourself everyday to not eat too much But that’s my opinion I can’t say for sure

Obesity causes problems much sooner and is much more harmful to your health, Although both are horrible and deadly. Both need to be treated and taken seriously either way.

@gundumwasthetanaka47314 жыл бұрын
@@carolestandiford6362 actually it's a lot hard then you think like for say you see an anorexic person and you may think it would be easier for them to gain weight see, they're already obsessed with food they can't get it out of there mind and they think that if they don't work out over 5 hours in a day and only eat a apricot that is 36 colories and counts all the food they eat in a week that is super hard to deal with and then people go up to them without knowing there story and says "just eat more" isn't going to do anything for them. Just like for over weight people too they are already obsessed with food and that without thinking for there stomach and was probably bullyed as a kid about already being over weight and they "cope" with there sadness with more food they have been told by people that there over weight and they need to lose weight and all of that. Then they go through the fase to think that by fasting though the day and working out there going to lose weight and then while by a week or even a couple of days they binge on food. So no both are very deadly and gaining and or losing weight is both equally hard to do.

I adore the way how Helen accepts the fact how disturbed is her binging meal addiction. I understand the stress what she faces daily, and how she wants to spoil herself more than a bit. When You are addicted, the mind hormone system is disturbed and You start to treat Yourself the way what is actually subconsciously hurting.
